Well, if you bought the Asus A8N-E motherboard and the X2 3800+ processor, you would have saved quite some money there. The SLI motherboard you have has a few extra features and SLI. Not very useful if you don't buy 2 high end videocards. If you upgrade you might just as well buy a new videocard, so that makes SLI useless. The 3800+ gives more bang for the buck. The 4400+ is far too expensive for what you get.
