  1. Got a source for this? Actually it's the other way around, about 60% or so (depending on the survey) of scientists don't believe in a God and about 90% of "greater scientists" (scientists in biology, physics etc. who are members of the National Academy of Sciences). In fact it seems that as you gain a deeper understanding of the universe you are less likely to believe in a God, which comes as no surprise really. Here is an article which sums up a bunch of surveys which all seem to point to the same conclusion: http://www.stephenjaygould.org/ctrl/news/file002.html I feel that yes, the universe is complicated, but using an alternative route, ie. believing in a higher power, does show lazyness, and infact shows these scientists aren't willing to suface with the conclusions they have made. I actually did a study on this at school. Small and slightly irrelevant to the whole of society, it did bring me to a rather unshocking conclusion. I asked the majority of the students taking a science major class if they still believed in God and religion in general. They moslty said no, or they were confused. But it brought me to the conclusion that as science uncovers more and more, and more and more is proved, people fall further and further away from religion. To be totally honest, I'd bet the majoirty of people (not all, the majority) would choose logic over an unproven, primitive, and very minipulated guess.
  2. I'm definitly, here and on another forum, a poster more than a lurker. I always enjoy implementing my input on certain things. I sometimes feel I start too many posts though. BTW nice name 'D'.
  3. I'd bring a computer with internet. Then after investing in stocks for a few years, I'd sell my shares, and build a resort on the island. Then I would make more money by owning the resort.
  4. I love this car. But it's not really made anymore. :( Smart Roadster.
  5. So today I just got my 17" flat screen computer monitor. It's an off brand (X2gen?) that I bought seperatly instead of with the computer, to save myself from being scammed for $200 for a monitor I could buy for $150. Well, I hooked it up, and right there, near the bottom of the screen, is one single blue pixel. It's always there, and it can drive you crazy, especially on white screens. It's too minor to return the monitor for, but it can be so annoying, and can drive you crazy. I've had similar experiences with an off brand flat screen television I bought, which sucked so badly I returned it for a brand tv, which I love. This can be with both off and brand products. Have you had any similar experiences?
  6. Forget Six Flags. Come to Cedar Point! I've been there about 12 times, and I love it everytime! I've ridden every ride except Top Thrill Dragster. I'm actually scared of it, which is rare for me.

Definitly DJ Darude and either Sandstorm or Feel The Beat. DJ Miko is good too.
  8. Oo, him too!! I thought he played really well for Ukraine in the World Cup.
  9. *Raises hand* I'm not sure about other people, but I have studied Christianity. I am confirmed, and took 2 years, during my 6th and 7th grade years, to go to classes every Wednesday night and learn about it. I also go to church from time to time to be a server and help out, and have been Lutheran since I was born. Knowing that you're probably second guessing I'm really Athiest. But it is, more of a disguise I put on. I'm obligated to do it, so I do, they don't know the real me.
  10. To be sucessful in life to the point where it will make me content within myself. Ie. being wealthy, but happy, and living in a place I want to live ie. Europe.
  11. I'm hosting a party, and I have alot of DJ equipment and I want to play music you'd hear in European (maybe even American or Canadian) nightclubs. Techno club music for the most part, like Darude, or Zombie Nation. Club remix's are fine to. Does anyone have any recomended songs?
  12. Ditto.
  13. :P Hehe, sounds like me. Well, sometimes I do know what Im talking about...sometimes. 8-)
  14. Viktor Viktor Viktor. Is that your final answer? I think I can answer this question for you. Favorite athlete: VIKTOR KRUM Sport: Quiddich (sp?) why: He rocks at his sport. You are jealous of him because he is going out with Hermione who is hott in the movie (imo). He's just....cool 8-) That's your answer. Ah, but he is not real. He and Hermione need to continue to go out. I mean, c'mon, he's sensitive, and he's hot! lol :P
  15. Michael Owen Soccer (aka Football) For England he scored 3 goals aka a hat trick during the qualifiers World Cup game against Germany, England won with a 5 to 1 lead. \ \
  16. Whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm hoping I heard you wrong, or am misunderstanding something.
  17. Nvm, I take it back. I don't have the guts to do that anyway.
  18. Why? Are they going out of their way to make your life miserable? No, but they are advertising it in a public school. Last time I checked, that was a violation of Freedom of Religion. Or, at least I hope. :?
  19. No, but I do write my name as 'ÃÆÃââââ¬Ã rik', instead of 'Eric'. O yeah, I was called 'Triple AAA (pronounced as A) for a while. Beats me as to why? :-s
  20. That's as sad as my school having a 'Jesus Club', and we're not even a religious school. I plan to go to the club, wearing my 'Evolution' shirt. To top it off, I'm going to printout and highlight where it says 'Freedom of Speach and Religion' in the Constitution. So they have no right to yell at me, considering it is not a private event. I respect people's beliefs, but at a public school, this is too much.
  21. I tried to alch my kitty :XD: But it didn't work. If you use your egg ring during tele then take it off you get a book at oyur feet for like 3 seconds, kinda cool :o
  22. And the fact that most bigger than earth are gas giants :P *Scratches head* Isn't Neptune the only gas planet we have? No, there's Saturn, Jupiter, and Uranus as well.
  23. It looks like the car has a big ****, and I'll leave it up to your imagination to figure out that word. :
  24. Both are incredibly stupid, pointless, and inhumain shows that make me want to ram into a wall at a 100 kmph. :wall:
  25. Mistake in translating slang.
