The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Well, they were researched in two years, so now that they've been used and people know roughly how to build them, research should only take a year. I suppose the SR and Japan could collaborate and cut it down to 6 months.

:P Just going by the price you established. You seem to be doing fine not having to pay anybody to build stuff.

Depends. I suppose we'll go off of Arch's established price, which is nothing. So, yeah, they're free. So no what? And congratulations, you now understand the concept of an 'arms race'.

Their rockets were essentially just a tube with fuel and some explosives at the tip. And they didn't go very far. Or come anywhere near breaking orbit. You wouldn't have built that many unless you've completely nationalized your manufacturing industry. In which case, you'd probably be spending most of your money trying to stop mass protests. Or he could just contract me to do it in the same time it took you, since most of your high-tech industries left and set up in the SR. No way you're average gdp is 125,000. Even if you just controlled Norway, that'd be a 150% increase. (I'm talking about Purchasing Power Parity, not Nominal). If we're talking about nominal, that's a 300% increase for sweden, and around a 60% increase for norway, and a 300% increase for Finland as well. Also, most people wouldn't stand for 45% tax. Also, your gdp went from roughly 1 trillion to over 3.2 trillion. That means an 8% increase per year, and considering we were yelling at retech over 5%... I think he did it in Krone, so the average income is somewhere around 25,000. -- FYROM has joined the SR.

The SR vetoes Switzerland's appointment... Btw, tanks are multi-million (if not billion, it seems) investments. There's no way you researched, tested, then produced that many within the alloted time. Also, being able to open bomb bay doors without detection is impossible, sorry. I like this idea. @Dusty --- I wasn't thinking very clearly. Haha. France was annexed by Germany, but they still maintain their seat, although it's called Germany or whatever now. The only problem is that Germany is senselessly going after African territory. I'm kind of afraid to appoint Japan since Japan has been trying to annex random places (such as Yemen *ahem*), so it might not be as stable due to rebellions and the like. Security Council members need to be wealthy, stable nations. States like the Slavic Republic and the United Federation are rather stable since they focus mostly on internal affairs rather than going on an all-out conquering spree. I would be fine with sending 30% of the US military to the UN. I'll also try to contribute a little bit toward the UN having better quality armor and stuff. I'm not putting a whole lot toward it, so other nations will have to pitch in as well. The Federation donates 540,000 soldiers to the UN. However, this number may be decreased since the US government is mulling over the issue of whether or not to cut the army down in order to make it more manageable and more professional. All SC members must donate 30% of their armed forces. I'm also withholding some of our newer technology unless it's impossible for just any nation to steal it from the UN and have technology on par with the United Federation. If this is an agreement, I may provide some older models of the Exoskeleton. This is no guarantee, though. Yes well, the SR agrees and pledges 3,500 soldiers to any UN security mission that is required. wtf lol. wtf what? Gabon actually has some influence on the world...? (well, of course they influence the world, but I wouldn't think UN security council temporary member/backup/whatever...) And Gabon was assimilated into Equitoreal-Guinea, just as Austria was assimilated into Italy. Your point?

wtf lol. wtf what? Zz you just said France doesn't have a seat (therefore Germany doesn't have a seat) Also, np. Could go with United Federation of Man or United Anglo Federation (though that would limit your expansion based solely off the name) United Federation of States whatever.

You just said you wanted to abolish the UN! Lol. Also, the SR would take the permanent seat that is now vacant (either US or UK). Both still have their seats. When the US and the UK came together, neither lost their independence. They're still both technically independent nations, although they're both members of the Federation. France is the empty seat. No, if the Federation is ruled as one entity, then it has 1 seat. Besides, the SR is a perfect placement for a security seat. It seems to be the only economically powerful, stable country, that hasn't and has no plans to, go on a massive conquering spree. Edit: Saw your edit. Cheers. -- Citizens of the SR are even more happy with their government now, with the announcement that the Slavic Republic now holds a permanent seat on the UN securit council. Also, the National Liberal Party has won the election and now holds a minority government in the SR.

Arch, stop. -- The IMF has rebased to Bucharest, after discovering through their alternate reality machine that the Federation is a nasty imperialistic nation that would steal their holdings. They have a shiny new building in the financial district of Bucharest.

Well, there is no Ukraine anymore. What you're saying is you want the Slavic Republic, which is something my citizens don't really feel too pleased about.

Well, Sere collapsed the world economy, and then stole the only reserve fund meant the stop the world economy from collapsing to strengthen his position (a reserve fund that he didn't own, but merely had its headquarters based in the US).

Okay, I vote yes.

It's not about being neutral. The US is hardly neutral, and that's where the IMF was based. And the EGG is dirt poor. If they're not basing in Bucharest then I'll just keep saying I have 3k tonnes of gold, which judging by the reaction to Sere's ill conceived plan of currency stabilization, would be more or less accepted by the players here simply to spite Sere.
