eloi, I really don't know, lol sorry I would assume potted and with rune arrows or karils bow you'll do just fine... might take a bit longer for you but yes, it can be done. You also may need a little more sharks because of that if you tend to try out my way.

no need to worry about the healers hitting you with my mthod for 2 reasons: 1) They line up behind you, and only one will be hitting you.. they can hit up to 11, but rarely do they ever hit large and often. 2 sharks is more then enough. 2) the 702 will seriously be dead before you know it, he has such low hp and if your potted and ranging his arse he'll drop like a bag of patato's.

Wooot, did it :) finally. And have a great tip for you guys who aren't using a safespot. I tried to trap the healers but it didn't work, they all followed me still.. I didn't even bother killing the healers, they all lined up behind me whilst I was far back shooting the 702. They were all too far to heal him :wink: so I took the hit from a healer, they all started healing him mean while i'm sitting there shooting down the big guy. It worked so nicely. G'luck guys. What I brought 13 prayer pots 2 range pots 10 sharks gunthans black range gear + mage short 10k addy arrows and 1k rune arrows for the boss

Ekaggen , instead of killing off the healers, will trapping all of them to where they followed you to work? Or do they still heal/respawn?

Alright, i'll give that a go. Thanks for the tip, and if I have 90+ hp doing it, I have nothing to worry about whilst running back in to the big guy.

that sounds like an excellent idea, getting the healers to follow you and kill them off. The only downside to that is, not knowing what prayer to go running back to the 702 with could cost you your life

*sigh*, another 2 hours wasted.. keep getting melee'd trying to range the healers.. even on long range I tend to mess up now and then. Is Killing the healers absolutely necessary? I know it makes him easier, but trying to muscle my way seems so much less stressful and easy to just sit there and range him instead of trying to peg them all off. How much do they heal him anyway?

No, nothing is for certain. It may have been the position they were in, but they sure as hell weren't making any emote that looks like they were healing him. They were healing themselves as far as I could see. I'll try it again tomorrow and see if I can confirm this.

I am so fed up with this stupid 702, twice he was ready to die and TWICE I get a breif interuption of lag when the 3rd round of healers were coming (maybe 2-3 seconds of lag) and that's all he needs to change up his attacks and one hit me. Both times i was doing so well, 7 (4 dose) prayer pots left and 6 sharks it's so far past the point of seeing if I am capable of doing it, because I know I am.. it's all about wanting this ugly cape to show for it!. AYE CARUMBA this is stressful. Is the cape really worth doing another 2 hours of this to whoever has one? And a little reccomendation about the healers, if you shot them all once they line up to you and you can can shoot the big guy without them healing him. As long as you are strong enough to be taking the hit from one of them whilst doing this. And slowly you can just start picking them off if you wish.

Switching prayers and clicking the many healers seems like trouble and confusing. Possible to just forget about the healers and go all out on him whilst switching prayers?

You don't need strength nor melee. All you need is high hp lvl, decent range lvl which you have, and all the supplies. I ranged my entire way up to the 702 with black range gear, magic bow and addy arrows. I made silly mistakes earlier on and used up too much food and was 1 hit from the 702.

thats the problem with the smithing skill... its one of those skills that will become obsolete within time and that time is pretty much here. I like adams idea of how jagex can fix this problem without exactly releasing new armours etc to the smithing skill (although that wouldn't hurt). I would love to see this happen, i'm also a big fan of jagex updating the 99 skills to start serving some purposes. Most 99's like fletching is no different from lvl 85.. its quite sad to have so many worthless high lvls. They need to start focusing on the higher lvls now instead of the middle classed lvls well said adam, im for that idea
