  1. Jesus christ on rubber crutches, just let it go already! If he doesn't think it's scary, he doesn't think it;s scary, if he says he's played it he's played it and doesn't have to explain himself to you. Come back when you're off your period. Not liking Bioshock is unnacceptable and in the afterlife he will not be rewarded with Jesus cookies. Not everyone can like a game, but I want to know why. Of course I don;t need to know, but the majority of reviews have been very positive. I just want to know what specifically he doesn't like about it. What the [bleep]? You want a reason for someone not liking a game? How about this, its not his type of [bleep]ing game! YOu don't need to know why, and you'll probably try to combat the reason. Just accept its a game made for entertainment and not everyone likes it, and your opinion won't change it. Doesn't matter if a game has had good reviews or not, I never pay attention to reviews, I buy the game if I like the sound of it. HAZE had pretty bad reviews, yet, I liked it. Face it, reviewers are not gods, we should not base our opinion on theirs.
  2. I'm 5'8" and I sure as hell don't consider myself short. Yeah, because its you. Though at some point, you're bound to consider yourself short when you're around some people. Well, compared to some 6 footers, I'm small. I've always thought of myself as around average height though. You definately don't want to be at my school. Most of the people in my year (guys) are pretty tall, I was about 10th tallest or something out of the guys (Arranging for a class photo by height back then). Considering they're all around 17-18. Even then, theres some in the younger years who are pretty tall, a guy I know is in 3rd year and is actually pretty tall, never really payed attention to how tall though.
  3. Fixed it for you. I'll agree on the Simpsons. I think that they either need to go back to their roots, or just stop. I preferred the Homer that tried to make some effort with his kids at times, and the one that still strangled Bart, sure its child abuse, but its friggin' T.V. Homer needs to start strangling Bart more, I can't recall the last time when he did it. I'd say Family Guy, but the show is still half decent, the only problem is all the [bleep]ers who quote it, thinking they are funny. Oh, and as you've probably guessed. All reality T.V. Sorry, its had its time, now it has to go. Big Brother? Who actually gives a [cabbage]? Its just some people living in a house together, with the occasional shocking task thrown it, once a week. Boring. And these talent shows like X-Factor etc... If these people are so talented, why don't they compose their own work and try and get [bleep]ing discovered.
  4. I don't want Swine Flu to [bleep]ing spread. I want my [bleep]ing exams done so they're over with.
  5. People like that ^. Seriously, I doubt a lot of people in OT even play RS now, so we're not going to give a [bleep] here. My list: EA The word random (its lost all meaning) People who continually quote Family Guy and such. I bloody get it! I've seen it! Stop [bleep]ing repeating, its not [bleep]ing funny.

[bleep]er, well its a Brittish insult. To be honest, I wouldn't take that [cabbage]. To be honest, I'm surprised it hasn't been picked up by the censor. [bleep]er is a playful term, not serious or anything :P It's like calling someone who just won a cross province marathon lame. (Lame as in can't walk) Not meant to be taken seriously Actually, its pretty a pretty agressive word here. Mainly because its used like "[bleep]ing [bleep]er."

No. They include fictional characters. And a gun.

So putting yourself at risk is now not badass? I think if they die, it can still be badass. Let's say there's some military squad leader in nam, he and his squad are kidnapped, and tied up. He get's through the rope with his teeth, in one bite, beats the guard to death with his left hand, while untying his squad with his right hand, then takes the guards gun, kills 50 men with the 10 bullets in the clip, then, one surviving VC throws a cooked hand grenade into the middle of his squad. He dives onto the grenade, saving the lives of his entire squad, but losing his own. That's still badass. Should have been more clear. True, it can be badass if you risk your life, but it also depends on the why. The guy was doing it because he thought he could, stupid reason. Not badass. The type of situation you described. Pretty badass. I agree that the Finnish Sniper was badass, he was putting his life at risk to protect his country, standing up for his rights.
  10. Now I wish I was a girl and lived in Brisbane, I love going ice skating, but my friends always want to go to the beach so I don't get to go -.- Buy me dinner and I'll see what I can do, touching is extra though :P Trust me, you don't want to be alone with Mage_Man for an extended period. I even find it weird talking to him on MSN at times. (He knows what I mean.) Though I hope to hell it wasn't him, or he was drunk. He kind of comes across as the kind of person who is stupid enough to have something remember him on his PSP, and have someone else use it.

I'd call him incredibly stupid to put himself at risk like that. Being badass normally involves defiance or killing. Usually both.
  12. Kiriyama replied to AceBeam's topic in Off-Topic
Depends on how defiant he is to those who kill them. If you can be killed in on of the most painful ways by those who you oppose, and you just sit there not giving into them, its badass. Isn't it more badass if he kills them and saves himself? Yeah, but in the case of this monk, his point wouldn't have come across. It also depends on how he kills them. Like, he lets them set him on fire, he then attacks them all, severely burning them, and killing them. Then jumping out a window into a pool. Badass. And yeah, Leonidas was actually pretty badass in the film, though Kratos is even more so. Its like going up to a guy who has a reason to kill you, sticking the finger up at him, then ripping his eyes out.

Yeah, it got his point across. Its just that, in my opinion, in order to be badass, it would have had to been those who he was protesting against who done it to him. It would have also got the point he was making come across better. I look at that, and I just see some guy who gave up and lit himself on fire.
  15. I don't think they'd be much better. The virus does gain control of basic functions, but movement would be sluggish, and the muscles would be deteriorating, and would hardly be more functional after death. The virus does not preserve the body, only uses it.
  16. Kiriyama replied to AceBeam's topic in Off-Topic
While I agree with you about the part of a person who tried putting it out after setting themself on fire, I also disagree with you on another part. If he lit himself on fire, then just sat there clamly, it shows he has given up on life, and feels he can accomplish no more. Suicide.
  17. Kiriyama replied to AceBeam's topic in Off-Topic
sitting calmly as you burn to death is in fact badass Not since he agreed to be set on fire from the looks of it anyway. If it was the people he was protesting against, then sitting calmly as he burned to death just to defy them, giving them the reaction they wouldn't expect, then it'd be badass.
  18. Make it the main area for the Disney channel. Whoever came up with the ideas for the current Disney Channel needs to die. Along with all their "actors".
  19. It takes around a day to 48 hours.
  20. Kiriyama replied to AceBeam's topic in Off-Topic
Badass isn't injuring yourself in protest. A badass would stare down the barrel of a gun pointed at you and sticking to what you are there for, without setting or closing your eyes when they pull the trigger. Setting yourself on fire is just stupid. Its like saying "I disagree with you. I'll kill myself to get my cause attention." The difference between staring down the barrel of their gun and setting yourself alight? They're to blame in the case of the gun since they pull the trigger.
  21. Increased strength and reactions times, combined with a halberd/katana/axe/whatever the hell you want to use would be pretty awsome. Basically you're a berserker. I, for one, would love to be in that situation  Yeah, isn't the Berserker way taking out as many as you can before they kill you?
  22. Blame our education. Honestly, the main reason I stopped History when I could? Its too biased. We are taught very little about Eastern history. If we learned more about the time of the Samurai (sorry, forgot the period) and so on, I'd have considered it.
  23. Kiriyama replied to AceBeam's topic in Off-Topic
Theres the line between badassery and stupidity. He crossed it into stupidity.
  24. Honestly, I don't think anyone would stand through playing this game if they had to do everything themselves. When I was training Summoning, I burned my money for the secondaries at higher levels, because it was easier than going out and fishing alot of sharks for Bunyip pouches. Which were then in turn used to help with Slayer. However, I'll admit to some DIY. I used to fish 1k Monkfish for food, because I'd burn some and it would then mean some wasted money. Sure, I could have bought the fish when I did cook, but it was a better use of my time to fish 1k Monkfish, sell then buy 1k cooked. Why did I skip the cooking step? Profit. Why do we then choose to "buy" our experience? Profit. The time gathering the materials could be better used to make more money than we would have if we had gathered our materials. Or perhaps we "buy" it because we hate training the gathering skill.

Well, that is true. However, it was also a 50/50 chance of being their own annihilation, or being a false alarm through a glitch in the system. I think he just got lucky when he made the right call not to launch.
