Alright, EVERYONE has it wrong, so stop acting like 10 year olds. The public never played on DeviousMUD. However, Andrew did compleatly re-write DeviousMUD and give it a one week BETA to the public. It was more RSC then DeviousMUD. Later, on January 4th 2001 RSC was released as a BETA, which just improved the graphics of the earlier BETA and was named RuneScape. And yes, I'm aware most of this is off wikipedia, but its been mentioned about 20 times in this thread AND NO ONE HAS HAD A BLOODY LOOK AT IT. -.-

how about you two stop ranting and spamming? and yes it takes 10 seconds to find you, its something called google. wow has 8 million accounts paying 15$ runescape has 8 million unique players the end. Discussion is not spamming, what you did was far more like spamming. You just repeated a few points.

Runescape has 3m players, WoW has 8m Runescape takes 5$ wow takes $15...i think if theres 8m people paying $15 a month then its alot better than 3m paying $5 Runescape has 10m players actually, just 9m don't pay. :P I really wish people would check out statistics instead of guessing. And because you just guessed that, I'm going to take your WoW figure with a pinch of salt.

Well, I'm free to play at the moment, but to me it seems like if the last few skills were better then people would want more skills. I don't think because you didn't like the last few skills that we should get no more. (although, as a side note: I love the idea of Construction and I'm saving lots of gee pees for it and am getting members just for it. :thumbsup: )

I've died twice to the level two men in Edgeville while training my pure. Wasn't very fun for me, but I imagine those there got a good laugh about it. I got lost on the way back to Edgeville too, despite playing for a year and a half. #-o

i hope not it sounds really fun Yeah, I've not read the LOTR books or seen the films and this has made me want too. It should be free to play if it happens because the person who came up with the idea is free to play (as am I. :P ) Anyway, hope this happens as it sounded real fun.

Hey. I've never PKed in my life before but for some reason, I've decided I want to (everyone has to start somewhere, right?). I've made a new account as I'm taking a break from my main. I was wondering what levels I should train my stats to though. I don't want to be a pure, so I was thinking something like this for my melee skills: Attack: 40 Strength: 70 Defence: 40 I really hate training range and I doubt I'd get much use out of it. Is it really worth training? What do you think about training mage to 70 and training prayer to...well, I don't know exactly what to train prayer too, either. Anyone have any ideas about that? Also, if I was to train my stats to these levels, what would be the best thing to wear and have in my inventory? Sorry for all the questions, but I don't want to screw up! :XD:

If you look on the first page, you'll see I already did a good estimate at how much Jagex makes a month. Many others have also done that in this thread. So it's getting quite annoying when you just pull random numbers out of the air. -.- -.- Secondly, YOU DON'T HAVE TO BLOODY CLICK THE ADDS FOR JAGEX TO MAKE MONEY OFF THEM. Thank you. Free to play was released before Pay to Play. Hence, it is not a trial or a demo. It is a full game. Your ignorance and stupidity amazes me, do you honestly think that the majority of free to play don't pay 3 quid because they can't afford it? No, because they don't want to. I don't even want to go on a rant about your "dont be poor get 5 bucks" line, because will be here for hours. Also, please use proper grammar and attempt proper spelling. No one gets it right all the time, but your posts are horrible to read. Does anyone else like the irony of members telling free to play to pay the money, yet if we all did that the game would crash and burn (not that Jagex would care, with the ammount of money they'd get from 9 millions members! :P )

(I'm not leaning towards F2P or P2P in this post. Just trying to work out a few things) Well, I think the first thing wrong with your post is the P2P is 3 pounds 20p (no pound button) which is about $5, not $10. Next, 2 million members!? :P Just a bit over 850 000. Using those facts, we can guestimate that Jagex brings in $4250000 a month of members. Of course, there is no way of knowing how much money Jagex makes off free to play so it's a bit of a one sided arguementg at the moment.

I didn't think my spelling and grammar was that bad. :P Anyway, like I've said: The excuse people normally use for F2P not getting more bankspace is that it will make Jagex lose money. That's not true however. They would make money.

BECAUSE F2P IS VERY IMPORTANT. IF NO ONE JOINED F2P, NO ONE WOULD JOIN MEMBERS. IF F2P DISAPEARED TOMMOROW, JAGEX WOULD LOSE A LOT OF MONEY AND THE GAME WOULD BE UNAPEALING. SO, WHY NOT TREAT F2P WITH A ROW OR TWO OF BANKSPACE? I'M NOT SAYING WE DESERVE CONSTNT UPDATES JUST FOR PLAYING. EXTRA F2P BANKSPACE WOULD NOT EFFECT ANYONE IN A NEGATIVE WAY, AND MAY EVEN MAKE JAGEX SOME MONEY.

I've got to say, that's the coolest outfit ever! I only wish I was around for those hats and scarfs. :shock:

Sorry my visit today didn't go to well. :cry: I forgot that I'd be attacked by the Wizard and then as I ran off a guard got me. I ran as far away as I could. Fantastic party Swedish boy! I got a mith scimmy and sq sheild, 161 air runes and lots of gold bars! I loved it all, it was great fun. I can see myself in some of the pictures to. I'm the one with nothing but gloves and a steel scimmy and sq sheild. I came at around 5.30 and found only Swedishboy, we talked a bit but I lagged out. I came back just as he shoted "Now!!!" and the drops started. I hope to come to any other events you host SB, and maybe hang out! Peace. : :

I'm quite happy about it changing to the 5th, there will be a lot less people there. More drops for me, hopefully. :lol:

Hey Swedishboy! I will try and come along (9.30 is very early for a Saturday -.- ) as I'm sure if I wasn't killed on the way I would have enjoyed your Skelly vs. Chickens :wink: I will be there on my pure "Starkillerx2", (I'm training him on the lvl 2 men in Edgeville, so this is a great location as far as I'm conerned) as I've pretty much quit my keithkannon account. Gratz for when you get 1000 posts! :D

There was about six skellys, after a emotional speech my Swedishboy we set off. I got killed. And thats about all I know. :(

Slightly off topic here, but before I read Kill_Lifes reply I thought the last line was text speak. I tried to work out what it said. :oops: Wasn't really off-topic. He said he went to the Skellys and asked me what Belgium-time it was. Ok, wasn't in English, but Dutch, not much people care. And I'm glad more Chickens are joining aswell :D I meant my reply was off-topic. Like this one. I'll stop posting now untill I've got something interesting to say.
