  1. Is there a specific place/world that's popped up to bonfire with the most people for max experience?

There is a friends chat 'w100 bonfire' which I've been using. It's currently at Shantay pass, and plenty of people there consistently the last few days.

Cool, thanks. It's been bothering me the inconsistent experience I've been getting from people coming and going on GE bonfires, I guess that's just my OCD, but I'll have to check this out.

  2. So right now I skill for one hour and get, say 1k blood runes and 10k exp (I'm just throwing this out there).

On your system I want to make money but train too. So I spend one hour making 2k bloods for money, but then I have to spend another hour getting 20k exp to train. So I got twice the money/exp in twice the time.

If someone else can come up with a way to balance this then god bless their soul.

  3. As a side note to your side note: If Jagex wants to reduce the monotony, or grind, of RuneScape the better approach is to introduce higher experience rates. While the gaps between levels may seam large, their size can be decreased relatively by introducing faster ways of training, which seams to be Jagex's strategy with the introduction of higher level training methods to lots of skills as well as the recent addition of RuneSpan.

  4. I wish Jagex gave us the option of turning off the squeal on our accounts so we didn't have to see the tab, the floating announcement, the goblin face when we finish a quest, or anymore of those stupid spin tickets. That's how I would like to vote, and I think more people would be willing to abstain from their spins if it wasn't constantly in your face nagging you. The way Jagex constantly advertises the wheel without our consent is like having a mandatory Gamblers Anonymous meeting on the casino floor of the Bellagio.

  5. or if your rc lvl has any affect on failing with esshounds?

Your RuneCrafting level does affect whether you fail (giving 0 to 2 exp) or succeed (giving the full experience) at a cast. So sometimes doing essence creatures bellow the best one you can reach will get you more exp/hr because you will fail less. For example, getting 30 exp consistently verses getting 68 exp every third cast.

  6. I think this needs it's own world and it's own clan chat for giving locations to the yellow mage.

    TIF do your thing!

The unofficial friends chat that's cropped up is Runespan HQ on world 46.

Edit: Which I've decided isn't that useful, because only a portion of the people on any level can see the yellow wizard at any time.

  7. It isn't possible to camp the nodes, the nodes spawn randomly. The creatures on the other hand always spawn in the same spot. It's best to find an isolated island and camp the best essence creature you can leech from reliably and get the nodes when they pop up.

Also, I'm not sure, but the number of people does seam to affect the nodes, even though I thought they said it wouldn't.

  8. im quite suprised but they have ut at best buy  but a little cheaper than i thought...

im sure there is better option's somewhere but i know that this one happens to be fantastic.

At the current exchange rate, £700 is about $1127 and that laptop is about £732. Unfortunately, I also don't believe Best Buy can ship internationally except to Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico or China (see here).

I found what appear to be the same product at a site called UseUSA, that purports to ship American goods to the UK, for $1,926.02 here. However, it's up to you where that site looks legitimate, and whether you want to bother with American products instead of buying something locally available to you.

Do you mind me asking what major electronics store you have in your area?

  9. I get about 50 running medium settings (with things like bloom, detailed lighting, and high detail water off and everything else all the way up). Though I get that bug in some areas (soul wars obelisk, for example) that makes the screen flash black, which lowers my fps quite a bit.

  10. 06.00 South

    21.48 East

In the Kharidian desert to the West of the Bandit camp, on the tip of the peninsula. Dig 3 steps to the West of the cactus with white spikes. You must have at least started the Tourist Trap Quest to get to this area. Saradomin wizard will attack.

The Tourist Trap isn't actually required for this clue, you just take the carpet to the Bedabin camp and go south west. No pic = no proof, so I took a picture of myself at the location and showing my quest list:

BTW: I just noticed that there's a typo in the Forum Spoiler button pop-up, it says "Test to show as preview" instead of text.

  11. Not all skills are obsolete, farming herbs is a nice steady income and you can get some profit even with ranars.

Even with ranarrs... Wait prayer potions aren't that profitable anymore?

Buying clean ranarrs and then selling at GE mid, you can expect to lose 503 gp per prayer potion made.

  12. What would be the fastest way to do blues and bank? I don't have the agility requirements for Taverly dungeon shortcut.

That stat sig shows your agility level as 74, the dungeon shortcut that leads to the Blue Dragons only requires 70 agility, the one that goes to the poison spiders requires 80.

  13. Equip:

    • Some sort of earth staff for Ourania/Moonclan tele
    • Ardougne cloak 2 or higher for extra runes, but no bonus experience (1 gives no bonus)
    • Weight reducing clothing (Which looks like it will be just boots for you, unless you don't have Ardougne cloak, in which case wear a spotted/spottier cape)
    • Regen bracelet for minor damage
    • Master Runecrafter robes wont hurt if you have them

    In your inventory:

    • Pouches (which may or may not increase experience with ZMI, depending on how quick you are to fill/empty them)
    • Essence
    • All of your astral and law runes, even from your bank

You'll have to decide whether to use a familiar. They tend to slow me down, so I don't, but there's a mini-obelisk right where Moonclan tele takes you, so you wont have to worry about point drain.

First fill up your bank. I used wilderness capes, afros, different potions, and teleportation jewelry at different numbers of charges to do it. Teleport to Ourania, run inside and use the short/straight route to the alter. Run in a group or follow someone if you can to minimize damage, but it's not too bad.

Craft your runes, empty your pouches and craft those. If your pouches are starting to degrade, now is a good time to see if you've crafted the right runes to use the NPC contact spell and have the Dark Mage repair them. Now either tele/telegroup Moonclan. Note that many people on the official world use the Telegroup Moonclan spell because with an Earth staff it uses the same amount of runes as the regular teleport with a bit more experience, if you want to save a few runes and don't need magic experience then you can turn on Accept Aid and hitch a ride with someone else.

Recharge your summoning every few runs at this step if your using a familiar. Now run to the bank. This is where having a full bank comes in handy, now if you press the Deposit All button, all of your crafted rune except Astral/Law and your pouches will be deposited. This way you don't have to deposit every stack/rune by hand. Now get some essence, fill those pouches, and repeat.

A few random notes: Using this teleportation method you'll probably never run out of run energy. You could use a Ring of kinship, Ring of dueling, Glory, Games necklace, Tokkul-Zo, or even tele straight out to Ourania and just pay the banker Eniola 20 runes, but Moonclan seam to be the fastest and makes the most sense. Make sure you take pure essence, regular rune essence wont work. Use the official world (70) to prevent damage from the Zamorak warriors and wizards. And finally, be prepared to lose money until you get your RuneCrafting up to about the mid 60s.

  14. Wait what, this area is no longer wilderness?

yes it is, but becuse its part of the quest, its a sort of closed off area

No, if i remember correctly, all spirit realms are NOT part of the wilderness.

It is part of the wilderness in the sense that the areas are replicas of locations located in the actual wilderness (both of the places named Ruins on the world map).

It is not the wilderness in the sense that these areas are just copies these places. Both the normal versions and spirit versions of both areas are completely separate from the wilderness, wilderness mechanics do not function, there are no wilderness levels, and you cannot be attacked by other players. Essentially they act as instanced versions of the real places. In this way, both Spirit of Summer and Summer's End are now completed without ever entering the real wilderness or being in real danger (with Summer south of the Wilderness wall and your grave being placed under her if you die in any of the quest areas).

Back on topic: The spell doesn't work because the quest plot cant be composted in any way. It also can never get diseased, so you're free not to pay attention to it. On the other hand, it would probably be good to note to not pick the fully grown plant, I thought we were supposed to dig the doll out ourselves somehow and had to regrow it.

  15. RS doesn't really have combat complex enough to benefit from a support class. They tried it with the lunar spellbook and it just didn't work out.

^^ This. And this is too tied to prayer, some of these ideas might work as one off prayers which take a chunk of prayer points and heal/cure you, but I don't think this would work as an entirely new skill.
