If your a member the best way is bow strings ... I got to lvl 40 in a couple of days (a few hours) just doing this ... they also sell well too.

I would actually recommend you dont mine to make money. IF your really going to get a cannon and your already struggling with the price your definitely going to hate paying 200 per cannon ball. Your going to hate yourself once you get your cannon and realize you need iron to make your cannonballs. I think the easiest way to make money is selling unids but you will run into trouble with pkers ... still ... for 1k per unid its probably the best way for a noob to make a little extra cash.

I just finished the quest two days ago and found the whole thing really quite easy ... just a very time consuming quest. I beat the demon with my cannon (it ended up taking 40 cannonballs but I was ranging as well). I was lvl 75 when i did it and could have done it MUCH lower. The only thing you really need is 43 prayer and prayer pots. Rather than using energy pots I had also saved up a few "strange fruits" and 7 was more than enough. Have Fun!

I actually just beat the demon the other night and can now use my D scimmy. I brought a little food 1 prayer pot (2 doses) a cannon and 250 cannon balls. I didnt run to the ledge and just stayed by my cannon shooting him with my bow and arrow. It took a few minutes and he died. End result. I had 210 cannon balls left and 0 prayer ... My recommendation. If you have a cannon and cannonballs this fight will be a walk in the park ... just take a couple prayer pots and let your cannon do the work for you.

I once just got a few small items but I was a Noob at the time so it was GREATLY appreciated. On the side note here I have been in the other situation where I died and a few people salvaged my items. One guy ended up giving all the stuff he had back and another guy tried selling the items to me. A HUGE thanks to those out there that give stuff back (which I do as well). It sucks dying and is even worse when you lose some pretty valuable stuff.

I am about to take this demon on and was planning on using the cannon but your method sounds a lot more fun! Only problem is I have no idea what your talking about ... does someone have a map to show those of us doing the quest where the ledge is??? 20 Gnomes fighting a Demon ... I am looking forward to this =D>

Nice woodcutting level. I like working on my Thief. I would recommend on working on that as it not only can make you tons of money but also can help with almost every skill you can work on.

I am lvl 72 and want to be able to wield a D scimmy. Is my lvl way too low to even be thinking about this quest??

Has anyone tried killing this thing? I was on my way to the Rogue Den to pickpocket some lockpicks and before I knew it this thing had me iced. Its got some amazing range on it as well. How can someone kill it?? Seems like it gives fantastic drops and I want some revenge! :twisted:
