I mean it looks good and all, but the original image doesn't leave room for any creativity or actual brushing. You just had to selet an area and colorize it.

yea agree. but it wasnt really his fault, just the fact that the pic, which is good in all, but it lacked any room for detailing or that special "mark or the artist..."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i suppose you could have put like a shader with freckles or something on her arms/face, and maybe streak in the hair, but thats about it

Since there is little room for actual artistic input in the coloring of the particular picture (as mentioned before), I critisize you for missing the spots, where you could have made a diffenrence. The colors selected are subtle and pass together well, but I have a hard time getting why her eyes are completely blue? You could have made the little details around the neck/chest area in different colors. Now the gap in the dress is, well, the exact same colour as the dress. (as are the dots and other things..).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As a wild guess I would say that the coloring is mainly trough "color" layers? Though noticably, you have made the blade wider and frankly, made it look like plastic. It's matte, not shiny and there is a deeep shadow up right (compared to shadowing in the picture overall).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I think the color choices are well planned and work in harmony but the blade ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ is ruined. :wink:

Well actualy a firiend asked me to color it for him, coz he is nuts about anime stuff, and when he saw the pic, he wanted for me to colorize it for him :lol:
