If you are suffering lag due to the new update, I think this may be the solution because after about lagging for 3 days, did a bit of tweaking and it stopped lagging

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Im not a tech expert so dont flame me if this solution doesn't work for you (note, this only works for the official runescape client) :

 

 

 

1. open task manager by pressing ctrl+alt+delete

 

 

 

2. with the runescape client open, go to the processes tab and right click runescape[Caution: ExecutableFile]

 

 

 

3. set the priority to above normal (dont go Realtime because it will make everything else lag like hell)

 

 

 

4. Hope this worked for you!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

nb. this might work for swiftswitch or any other runescape client (maybe even ir or firefox) by doing all the steps but finding the respective process eg. if using firefox, find firefox[Caution: ExecutableFile]

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

discalimer: This worked for me, and if it still lags, im sorry i cant be of further help. This will also make other applications lag a little

If you are multi-tasking though be careful since your other programs might get less towards them and lag up.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

At least, thats what happened when I did this when I used to play Everquest II. game lagged a lot so I set its priority higher and other things would lag more. usualy it works just fine though :).
