March 17, 200719 yr If you don't want to go the pest control route, try the Ghouls west of Canifis. There are 2 locations very close to each other and you can run between the 2 to keep them aggressive - which they should stay until you are level 85 combat. Flesh Crawlers in the Security Stronghold are also good. I think they are a bit lower level than Ghouls, they are aggressive, and also give decent rune and herb drops.

When I was getting my defense to 70 I think slayer tasks were better than previous things I'd tried like rock crabs.
March 17, 200719 yr Slayer, or just do dagannoths under the lighthouse. Bring full rune, maybe some strength potions, and a full load of food. You'll last a long time there. I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.
