..so..what exactly IS Eve? I've seen a screenshot of a giant spacethingy..I THINK it was Eve...

Oh my I can't believe someone made an eve-topic and it wasn't me :P

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ok, for those who don't know what eve is, simply put, it's a space mmo.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Its biggest problem is that if you won't have friends to play with, it can get very boreing very fast. That, and it's a PvP game.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

That in itself isn't really a problem, but most people tend to experience the PvE and get bored. Surprise surprise, the PvE in a PvP game sucks. Get into fleet battles with people shooting guns as big as your ship, then the game gets fun :D

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We had an enemy corp set up a player owned starbase in one of our systems (another one of eve's gems, player owned space and structures) and we gathered up a fleet of 80+ people and sieged it, now THAT was fun :mrgreen: much moreso then anything I've ever seen on WoW or RS.

EvE is great. I played it for a while and it was a lot of fun.

 

 

 

Reason I quit: none of my friends wanted to play it with me.

 

 

 

Also the control system irritated me. You didn't have direct control over your ship; it was more "click here to move".

 

 

 

While I didn't like the interface on a personal level, the game has brilliant interaction and depth. What other game has such a complex player-driven economy?

 

 

 

Oh yeah, and scams are great in EvE. Nightfreeze, Guiding Hand Social Club, Currin Trading, and EIGB.

I tried eve but I found it completely boring..

 

 

 

wee i'm zooming through space.. doing nothing.

 

 

 

I did skip through the tutorial after 30 minutes because I wanted to see what the fighting action was like.. only to be greeted with a loney space atmosphere and a busy chat line.

 

 

 

To me, a game shouldn't be this complex.
