Taskbar color change help (Like to black or red)

Featured Replies

I was looking at some screenshots of other windows xp screens, and well after seeing a red taskbar and such at deviant arts, I have been looking around for ages to find a 3rd-party program which allows me to change the color. So far I've found something called "winpersonalizer" which allows me to make the taskbar transparent, change what it says where "Start" button is, and a bunch of other nifty things, but it doesn't provide color changes for the taskbar.

If anyone knows of somewhere I could download freeware for this specific task or includes it, then please send us back a message, thanks.

Here's what was recommended to me from people in the off-topic forum. http://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/ It's a nice little program and free to use for a few months, but unless you buy there's limited options. It gives a great feel of having a new taskbar though.

If you want something that is not limited by time and is totally free, google for uxtheme. That's the name of the .dll that makes it so you can only use microsoft signed themes. By using a patched uxtheme.dll (patchers are available from loads of places) you can then use any visual style.
