Because he wanted critique on his work. Why else? Even though we all know that peoples first pixels are generally horrid, and most people don't really want to look at them, just the fact of him posting that means he is open to suggestions and wants to improve. So I challenge you, at least point him in the right direction instead of shoving him off.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On topic: Mainly what I said above, though not bad for a first pixel, it lacks shading and life really. It's just kind of plain and 'copyrighted' in the sense that it lacks originality. I would try to work more on human forms, and work on your shading. Just my opinion though.

A rather typical first pixel, to be honest. Unoriginal idea, really. :| I always seem to see ancient staves as first pixels. ;_; No shading that I can see... and not much else to rate. :|

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You'll be best off checking out the Gallery Forum FAQ Announcement (linked for your convenience), and checking out IV. User Guides. Check out a few of the guides there (I recommend DementedHero's and Terley's guides, and ImHomer's one is great too), use some of their tips, and make a scene - not just an item from RuneScape as that doesn't really leave for much creativity or showing any pixelling effort at all.
