Kalphite Queen Treasure Splitting Etiquette

Recommended Posts

OK, I've never teamed up on any big bosses, and a friend and I are going to start going after the Kalphite Queen.

How do folks usually handle the treasure distribution?

Is it the honor system, splitting everything? Or is a more "whoever gets it keeps it"?

Obviously, in a perfect world, the honor system sounds perfect. But is that how it's done in the dog-eat-dog world of Runescape?

Ive never been there but when doing things whith friends, its obvious (to me) that everything should be shared.

So when you get some good items sell them and split the cash.

And even if there was an Ettiquette just do as you please, dont let yourself ruled by manlaws you dont agree whith.

Quest cape obtained at combat level 83, march 07.

Well, I dunno Jagex's stance on messengers, but they seem to not like them....

For KQ, I greatly recommend you go with friends you trust and a messenger works good. We started out screenshotting and showing that run's drop in a screenie, now we trust each other more.

By the way, Teamspeak ftw.

And I really hope I didn't just suggest breaking a slough of rules.

Youve got to Kq kill with people you know, Because if they say "zomg i only got 100 nats!!111!!!1" and the next day they are wearing a d chain you can kill them irl ::'

Nah seriously only do it with people you realy really trust.

Noted stuff: divide by number of people that went and split accordingly, don't do this in kq's face lol.

Single valuable stuff:Compensate money if you have sufficient. Otherwise just sell and split accordingly

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

I always KQ with friends, and we just split everything in 2 equal parts.

Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.

my limited kq experience with 2 other friends is that we just keep the drop whoever gets it. As we more or less do the same damage, then the drops are split relatively equally. Obviously, if we get a big drop like a dragon item (not happened yet) then one of us will sell it and split the cash. Some sort of teamspeak is also pretty handy too.

if i go moleing with my friend we just share al drops and if we run into other people we somtimes team up and every one just gets their share

(btw be prepared that some people take like blood runes with them so that if they get a good drop they say its just bloods)

OK... I've gotten about 5-6+ chains there. The drop rate is good she is just a pain to kill, 1 per trip means ALOT of walking, thats the worst part.

Always go with a good friend, make sure they aren't too poor or too rich, just an average normal player is best. Usually after a chain drop, the best thing to do is go sell it ASAP and split the cash, and continue KQ'ing.

Don't let the person "hold onto it so it goes up in price" etc. The longer they have it in theyre posession the less likely you are to get a share. I would never cut a deal like: "Lets KQ until we get 1 chains each." Sure they might follow through, but if they get the chain first they'll be really unmotivated to KQ anymore, and you'll be stuck on the rotten end.

As for the other drops, basically whoever gets it, keeps it. Usually no one cares about the other drops, sometimes I ask for the zammy wines to help my herblore, and I'll offer some mith arrow drops if they want, stuff like that.

For D2H/Dmed drops, it really depends how well you know the other person, if my partner got a D2H i wouldn't care if they wanted to keep it.

My companion was kind enough to risk death to get me my Veracs helm back.

That dude has my trust for all time :D \:D/

EDIT: But I'm going back to farming and training till I get 80 Defense. That bug is mean!

I used to kq a lot. I always got the good drops for some reason and I always split the profit 50/50

I would rather keep getting good drops with a friend then be greedy and keep one good one to myslef and have no friends to kq with.

EDIT: Maybe the person I was kqing with was hiding something from me :P
