I believe the max monster you can hit is now 9 Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

Since in PC, every 2-3 minutes, you have to leave the area, get back on a boat, then wait another 30 secs to let enough monsters spawn for it to be worth it. Basically, you would only earn 1500 exp/min for the minute between rounds, which = 90k an hour, far less than the 150-200k an hour you could get training at ape atoll, etc.
