If you're going to mine in the abyss I'd say use a mithril one because it is the only weightless pick in the game. Aside from that I wish you the best of luck with you're goal and hopefully you'll not get pked at all.

i wanna reach 1 piece of guthans by tonight. I am going on holiday tommoz for a few days you see. So yeah after these i should be able to get guthans platebody or plateskirt.

Silver I have just done some testing and have found that all picks but mithril weigh around 2kg (it might be a fraction more or less). Mithril picks only weigh 1kg though. If you want I'll get some pictures up and show you.
