I have probably the shortest attention span out of anyone, ever.

 

I haven't been able to stick with one thing for more than 5 minutes ever.

 

But I am going to attempt 99 smithing by smelting steel bars, then into cannonballs.

 

From my leet level 53 to 99 it will take almost 300k steel bars smelted, then cballed.

 

I get out of school at 11:30 in the morning and nothing happens until later in the afternoon so I have all day to play, and I play late at night because my school is the easiest thing in the world.

 

My plan is to smith 6k bars a day, so this should take about 50 days.

 

Give or take a few days where I decide to pretend to have a life.

 

I will be smithing in Port Phasmatys so come keep me company. :wink:

Edit already: For breaks I will either work on Hunter, or Barrow, and hopefully get my first drop. 243 runs without a single drop ftw! :D

Sounds hard man, maybe you're asking a bit too much of yourself.

I think I am too, but maybe if I multitask it won't be as boring, slower, but I could probably go on longer.

maybe if you cant stick to something for to long, maybe set the standards lower? maybe instead of 99, start off, going to lvl 60, then once you get 60, set a goal of 75, and after that, set a goal of 90, then 99, you know... then that way you might acctually finish...if you set your standards to high, you will get overwhelmed.. so if you start off little, work your way up, you will have a better chamce at getting 99

it would be smarter to take breaks because then you will have a better chance because you wont 1. be as bored 2. get over whelmed you know, because i know that smithing is boring, witch is why im only 60.....

If you have the shortest attention span ever, something as repetitive as smithing isn't the best option. Good luck nontheless. :D

You think you can smelt 6k steel bars a day? :shock:

 

It takes nearly 4 minutes just to make one invent of Cannon balls. :?

 

300000/27 = 11 111trips.

 

* 120 = 1 333 320 seconds

 

/60 = 22 222minutes

 

370 hours.

 

/5 hours of playing a day = 74 days.

 

 

 

Thats without banking and the times you auto-log out, sit there doing nothing and get side-tracked ... AND, thats just making the balls. Not to mention buying/selling the ores/balls/bars...

 

 

 

Smelting the steel bars will take atleast 60 days.

 

 

 

This will take ATLEAST a year.

Good luck, i'm going for 99 smithing too but i'm doing it with gold bars. I'm not sure you'll be able to do 6k bars a day, but whatever.

Sorry for being negative, but there is absolutely no way you will make it in 50 days, even if it was possible to smelt 6k bars a day. It's just not gonna happen. Set a smaller goal, like being able to smelt full mithril or something.
