It all depends on how much you pay the runners and how much did you bought the ess for and also how much each you are selling the airs.

 

 

 

I bought regular ess for 40 gp each and paid the runners for 2000 each and I still don't make profit or even break even at level 67(7 airs per ess).I have calculated and if I continue doing this I will break even at level 77 runecrafting(8 airs per ess).

EDIT:I am selling the airs at 15 gp each which is quite lucky if you manage to sell it at 15 gp each.

You can buy essence 25-30gp each on f2p you know...

I don't think you make profit until 66 RuneCraft...

You can make a profit at 55, just that you need to sell for at or around 20ea.

You can get them easily..but it takes time to buy them for 25-30 gp each...Since I need 150K more regular essence.

It doesn't take much time buying ess 30 ea, just low number world and varrock "essence bank".

^No you're doing it wrong. Why would you divide 2000 by 25? Think of it this way

 

 

 

Money made per trade: 25 ess x 6 airs per ess x 15 gp per air = 2250 gp

 

Money lost per trade: 25 ess x 30 gp paid per ess + 2000 gp = 2750 gp

 

 

 

So you're still losing 500 gp per trade and 20 gp per ess at level 55.

you forgot that you buy 1 ess for 30gp, so 1 ess actually costs 110gp (80+30), and you make 90 gp selling the airs, so you lose 20gp per ess

 

 

 

it turns profitable when you have 77 rc (8 airs per ess) look:

 

outcome: (2000 gp / 25 ess) + 30 gp/ ess= 110 gp/ ess

 

income: 8 airs/ ess x 15 gp/ air = 120 gp/ ess

 

profit: 120 gp/ ess - 110 gp/ ess = 10 gp/ ess

 

 

 

remember that you can buy cheaper the ess, but to make profit at 55 rc you would need to buy it for less than 10 gp ea if you wanna sell the airs 15 gp ea, and that could be hard. at 66 rc buy them 25 ea to break even if you sell 15 ea the airs made
