This could put the line between the rivalship of the black arm and phoenix gang, because most of the quests encourage them to be friends...

 

 

 

Quest Start: Straven for Phoenix, Katrina for Black Arm.

 

Requirements: 35 Agility, 50 thieving, 40 firemaking, 50 range, Shield Of Arrav quest.

 

Items : Tinderbox, key to your base. At least 1000 coins, (5000 is best.)

 

 

 

Talk to your gang leader, (either Straven or Katrina.) They will say: I'm sick of those *enemy gang name here* terrorizing Varrock, we shall claim this as our territory. | You reply : So, what do you want me to do about it. | Them : I want you to walk to their base, with me, and propse a war. | You : This sounds like a quest to me! I accept! / or you can pick \ You : No way, King Roald is gonna kill us!, if you say this they say : Humph, Coward! | If you said first, the quest is started.

 

-------------------------------Quest Started-----------------------------

 

Walk into the enemy base, and talk to them. A cutscene between you saying : I am here to propose a war between the Phoenix and black arm gang! Do you accept? | They say : Yes! I never refuse a fight.

 

You go back to Straven who says to meet their new Strategist, Quentin, (New npc) talk to Quentin, and he will say : An up-front assault seems to risky for us, I suggest that we, when Straven and the rest are out fighting we shall bomb the base of black arm. | You : I'm liking this!.

 

--------------------------------Part One Complete-----------------------

 

Go to Catherby, in the candles makers shop, talk to him and say : Have you got any explosives? | Him : I can make gunpowder, but it will cost you. | You : How much? | Him : About 1000 coins a can should cover it. |

 

Buy 5 gunpowder cans. (If you brought the 5k coins not 1k.).

 

-------------------------------Part Two Complete-----------------------

 

Walk to the black arm base. (When you walk past the tramp, a timer is started, the time the soldiers return from the war.) Use your tinderbox on the gunpower cans ann you will get a lighting can. Examine : I better not touch this. | After you have done this, you will see a cutscene of you throwing the gun powder, if you miss, you respawn in lumbridge/falador, and lose your items, so be careful. The probability of missing depends on your range lvl, If you succeed the cutscene will be you charging out and jumping onto the ground (escaping away from the building) and a big explosion will occur behind you. Go back to the base, wait till the timer reaches 0:00, and talk to Straven. He will say: We won the war, because a Black Arm who was at the pub contacted their gang, that their base was destroyed. Good Work, Recruit.

 

---------------------------Quest Complete---------------------------

 

You become a *gang name* recruit, You can buy red clothes off straven and black clothes off Katrina. like Phoenix/Black Arm cape = 6000 gp (This cape is either red or black, and has a Varrock Standard symbol on the back.

 

Phoenix/Black Arm Torso = 14000 gp (this has 2 belts, linking at the back, and is either black or red.

 

Phoenix/Black Arm sash = 10000 hp ( this is like a skirt, but with a sash tieing it, it is either red or black.)

 

Phoenix/Black Arm Boots = 3000 gp (black or red boots, but look a little like mystics)

 

Highway Man mask = 80000 gp.

 

 

 

Reward : 3000 Thieving Xp

 

5000 Agility Xp

 

1000 Ranged Xp

 

8000 Firemaking Xp.

Like it, but after the war starting part, you only talked about the pheonix(sp) gang, what about the black arm gang side of it?

This would be interesting, but Highwayman masks are already a clue scroll reward.

 

 

 

Cover the Black Arm side a bit more, I'd like to know what they would do.

that really doesnt happen and u cant have a permanant black arm in phoenix base (and vice versa) since other players not doing the quest can see them...

i think the timer is a bit weird, try a : you light the fuse, the tough paper shortens, its nearly all gone, almost there then BOOM. because i think the timer is a bit modern.

 

 

 

also so it is fair make it so you can buy the opposing teams stuff too, because in the explosion the clothes went everywhere and a merchant picked them up and he sells them to you for the same prices as your own.

Im gonna cover the black arm side now, then make the final edit, I knew the highway man mask was a tt reward but it seemed neccessary to put that in because its gang/outlaw-ey

not bad. it could do with some more tweaking, but otherwise a 7/10. :thumbsup:
