Now, I've recently become obsessed with playing Guitar Hero, and after hearing my sister dropped the ps2 (claiming it was her right to, because it was her birthday present all those years ago), i've decided to cut my losses and seek out an Xbox 360 to buy.

 

I've looked on eBay, and they go for around ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã200 these days. Do you know anywhere I can get them cheaper?

 

With the release of the Elite coming out soon, will the 360's price drop even more? Have Microsoft announced any future price cuts lately?

 

 

 

Any tips you have on getting one for a decent price would be welcome. Thanks, PJ

If you can't find anything cheaper on Ebay, then you probably won't find it cheaper in department stores, I'm guessing.

ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã200? you pay that much for an old one on eBay? with exchange rates that is the same as a new premium one in the US. As far as price drops, Microsoft is not currently planning any drops and the price is unlikely to drop once the elite comes out. It will probably just be more expensive. Be careful with buying video games on eBay however, if it is locked to the wrong region your screwed.

I'd probably go ebay. Maybe Amazon.com Or if you wanna get an North american 360, then youd have to get your games from north americans on ebay/other places like that

 

But what stinks for you guys over in Europe is you gotta pay a ton more, and b\c of the regional thing, you wont be able to play your games on an american Xbox 360 (we can get a new Premium for 210 pounds, or about 400 US dollars)

It's the new 360 console, it comes with a whopping 60 pointless more gigs and HDMI, the price microsoft paid for both of those add ons probably totaled at about 30 dollars. The new Elite is 480 USD

Right now, I'm buying Creative Zen Vision Ms from a place in America and I'm re-selling them on eBay UK (as is, eg, listing as US) for around ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã8-10 mark up. Once I sell a few of them, I'll effectively getting a 'free' British Zen. I've already sold 16 after 3 days on a 7 day auction.

the xbox 360 has 20 gigs, and if you ad 100 gigs, not 60, you get 120, which is what the 360s HD size is!

GH2 has been a huge PR disaster, there was an automatic update for the game which 'bricked' many many consoles, Activision and microsoft both blaming eachother and thre dosent look like there will be a safe update in the future.
