Illegal version of Microsoft Windows??!

Recommended Posts

Today I just got a e-mail saying that I have a illegal version of microsoft windows, and I have no idea why.

I got my computer from best buy probably 6-8 months ago and I didnt get this e-mail since now. The people at best buy didnt tell me anything about this or any microsoft info.

What is this about? did anybody else get this e-mail?

Can you copy and paste the header of the email? Addresses are often spoofed.

I meant the whole header as opposed to just the reader-friendly bit. I don't know how you read your email so I can't tell you how to view it.

In Gmail you can click the down arrow, on the right of 'Reply' at the top of a message, then click 'Show original'. Copy and paste the part above the actual message text and it will looks a bit like this, taken from some spam:

I'd tell my mate that I had to go out and buy it. And that he now owes me at least half the money for it
