May 12, 200719 yr I'm gonna start playing AoK again, it's very, very well designed. I like it for my larger scale, overall strategy based kind of game. I like WArcraft 3 for my small scale, tactics/micro-management kind of game. Other than that, I don't really play much RTS. I just find that most strategy games take far too long to get into, and with my busy schedule I don't like to spend months at a time on the same game. So that's why I never got into Total War/Warhammer 40k/Civ (actually turn based, but wutev). Though I might consider getting Company of Heroes, because I hear that's really good.
May 13, 200719 yr My favorites: Age of Empires series Age of Mythology The Total War series (haven't played Shogun or Medieval 2) Guys, you forgot Rise of Nations <_< I really want to play "Rise of Legends", except my computer can't run it. Put the fact that its a flop aside! We should euthanize anyone who lacks the capability to contribute to society in any way. Please don't elect this man for president in 2012
May 13, 200719 yr WARCRAFT 3. 4 races (Night Elf Sentinels, Orcish Horde, Human Alliance, and the Undead Scourge)..all of them have unique units. It's easy to learn and get into..and it has a decent story. If you get really experienced with the map maker, I *think* you can create your own maps, put them online as a download, and then play them over battle.net.
May 14, 200719 yr I think my list will be the same as the others. Warcraft 3 (duh) Dawn of War (and all expansions to that) Company of Heroes (Based on the DoW engine, it's awesome. I love you THQ!) Age of Empires Age of Empires 2: Conquerors(SP?) (Seriously, this is Microsofts best game ever) Red Alert Red Alert 2: Yuris Revenge Savage (Pretty fun. RPG for one person in each team and MMORPG for the rest. Awesome on LAN partys.)
