You miss one main point here.

 

You don't even have to BUY fletching, you actually make profit (or used to do) by fletching yew logs into yew long (u) and since I became a member I have always said my first 99 skill would be magic, or maybe something else, but NEVER fletching. Some people were bragging about their 99 fletching before those capes were released and I've always called 99 fletching an excuse for a 99 skill, it's like hey I want to look like I worked hard without actually doing so.

 

 

 

So I totally agree with you on the fletching cape making me feel like lol what a noob.... and I never had any problems with cooking, you don't have to buy it either, you could sell the fish for the same amount of money you bought them for (or more) but now that cooking X has been released.... well yeah it's pretty much an excuse for a 99 as well. I'm still getting it though because I always buy the sharks I pk with raw and cook them myself, and now that sharks are so cheap I bought a lot for times when they get expensive again. But I won't go bragging about 99 cooking... there's just nothing to brag about.

Its just people are getting 99 fletching just for the cape and because its one of the easy ones to get... all the other people with 99 fletching i don't really give a carp about..

i actually like how easy it is to get these two capes. Most pople will go for either of those skills as their first 99. This will give them an idea of how hard it is to max the rest of their stats.

 

 

 

Easy skills are skills too, just so you don't forget. Also, I would like to have higher cooking than fishing because then you won't burn what you catch.

I agree but i also dont agree, if that makes sense. In one view the player who bought the skill has worked hard for the money to but the skill so its still efoort on thei behalf. Whereas buying a 99 is less effort than getting a 99 in a gathering skill(mining or fishing.

Now I get what you're complaining about: people can train with 100K exp / hour or so if they don't gather the materials themself. However, that is the point of fletching? If you were "supposed" to gather you're own materials, fletching wouldn't be worth to be a skill on it's own in the first place?

I don't see how you dare saying it's an easy skill. Have you got it to 99? I see you don't. Who cares if it's buyable or not, herblore is a buyable skill also. Some skills are tougher than the others, that's why Jagex made a balance between the skills, for someone who doesn't like spending literally years to get the skill to 99, and for someone who does. It's your opinion, and trying to persuade someone to think like you, just makes you look ignorant.
