If all you are after is level 3 clues, Jellies are by far the easiest monster that drops them.

Near the end of the slayer dungeon (nr Relkka). Wear best d'hide (mage based attack)...

aberrent spectors are also good for clue drops. ALSO they give alot of herb drops :)
