Random events are just that...Random events. It may seem like training a certain skill or other thing my trigger them, but they are completely random.

I'm pretty sure my theory is true:

 

 

 

You get more randoms while cooking and firemaking. The better items you are burning/cooking, the better chance of randoms.

 

 

 

You get more randoms while doing anything in certain places. (Edgeville, Karamja docks, Draynor fishing spots)

 

 

 

You (almost?) NEVER get randoms while you are walking.

 

 

 

Randoms are not that random. Dark Alcyte is right. You get more randoms under certain cercumstances. I got full camo and lederhosen in less than a week while continuously cooking lobsters in Edgeville, but before that had not gotten mime, freaky forester, or drill demon random event even once in my 1 1/2 years of playing! (1hr a day...)

Sry but its just a coincidence. I got all 3 camo randoms while cooking.

Ok. Fine. You can think getting a lot of randoms for cooking is a coincidence.

 

 

 

I asked a Runescape Moderator on the official forums some time ago on another account and asked him if there are things that can be done to increase the chances of random events. He said there were, but he couldn't give out that information. If you don't believe him, go to World 1 Edgeville Bank and you will see as many as 20 people there cooking their hearts out. Ask them why? They will say, "Random events."
