crow
I'm currently cb 91 74 attack 76 strength 70 def 60 range 70magic 54 prayer 74 hitpoints I've done all quests, most supplies shouldn't be a problem (all stats are hiscores, lowest is farming 48) Would full rune combined with p potions be enough for me to do barrows with some profit? Or should I get some decent armour? Any hints are welcome (like ancient or not) I'll probably use a whip as main weapon. I never did the barrows before and want to do a few trips to it for experiencing it (and a few good items would be good too of course )
Sjakie_1_1_3
Use slayer dart. DO NOT use melee agains the brothers. And 70 range would be a great help (not needed but very usefull). And read some of the guides if you haven't already. They offer lots of good advice :) Skill N' Chill - The Hawt Fun Sexy and Cool Skilling Clan!Skill n' chill website: http://skillandchill.freeforums.org/index.php - Clanchat: Skill N C - IRC Chat: #skillnchill
crow
I did read all the guides I could find, but still didn't know so good what to expect. So slayer dart it is. Btw: will dart work with all brothers? Then I'll pray all and wear ful mystic.
Trade_With
Btw: will dart work with all brothers?. Dart is useless against Ahrim (the mage) you're better off ranging him. If you have high attack then using melee against Karil (the ranger) would be better, but at your level darting him would be best. Also another advantage of using slayer dart is the ability to wear rune and cast the spell. The brothers mage defensive is a negative number so casting while wearing full rune or dragon hide is possible - saving some inventory space. Good luck! @Trade_With
crow
Thanks for the help. I'll get myself some decent equipment and will go kill some brothers
Mischlings
There's no need for mystic at barrows unless you're using ancients, and since you've never been to Barrows before, I don't recommend it, and in fact, unless you have 70+ mage, it's not worth trying (Ice Rush is worthless). Of course, slayer dart is best for the brothers. When praying, cast in dragonhide, and if you're killing Torag or Guthan without prayer (with 70 defence and rune, they'll barely hit you), rune will work despite the negative magic bonus. If you want to turn a profit, tanking is your friend. Karil, Dharok, and Verac are the most dangerous using slayer dart, so use prayer on them. Torag, Guthan, and Ahrim can be killed without prayer as long as you have the right armour on, although I seem to always have trouble with Ahrim. Do a few runs with relatively cheap equipment, then once you're comfortable, if money is no object, use more and more expensive items until you're like me and carrying 11-12 million worth of equipment to Barrows. Try all styles of Barrows once you can afford them, and above all, find the way you think is most fun and stick with it. As long as you play it smart and don't waste supplies needlessly, you'll almost always turn a profit, even if you're just there to have fun. If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.

tomato72
Can you use Dart? If so, do so. It also depends on your money. Barrows armour is an 'investment', not a loss. I, personally, do not use Prayer pots at all, and Verac melle the brothers (Or sometimes dart) I highly reccomend barrows armour, though. You get your money back, and it saves the money of buying P pots. Have a look at Leester's guide in the AOW. It's great for starters to Barrows. Also.. Feel free to PM me. crow
I just did my first trip. I prayed all the brothers (just to be certain; next time I'll probably safe-spot the melee ones) The brothers are indeed rather easy with dart, but those tunnels are annoying. (especially because whenever I tried opening the door, some monster attack me) The monsters beside the brothers are weak. (only used 2 monks because I needed inventory space for the cash and the bloods) And I just meleed the normal monsters with the slayerstaff. chenw
1. Safe spot doesnt work in Crypts, only in tunnels, which is time consuming if you are doing it for all brothers. 2. You do not need to pray on Torag or Guthan, as they barely hit. To be sure though, you may consider buying Guthan plate and Verac skirt, both are cheap (500k a piece) and excellent protection (skirt even has a substantial prayer bonus) 6,924th to 30 hunting, 13,394th to 30 summoning, 52,993rd to 30 DivinationKiln Record (Post-EoC): W 25 - L 0, 14 Uncut Onyx, 8 Jad hits received (Best record: Two in the same kiln)Obby set renewed post update #2: 0QBD drops: 21 crossbow parts, 3 Visages, 1 Kites, 2 KitsMax Port Score [2205] Achieved: 27th April 2013 (World 2nd) Farmyard Rampage ranking: 12th, 50,000 Kills.
