You'll need some cooked meat for that, using it on an empty bowl with a knife in your inventory. Add gnome spice and you have a tasty chinchompa meal! Found from RS K-base. I am not high enough to catch red chompas yet, but with all lower-level types of pray baiting your traps seems to slow you down. You lose more than you gain.
