The Grand Tree Quest Help Needed

What is the easiest way to kill the monster? I tried just melee, but I almost died, I read the tip guide said there is a way to mage and hide, my mage is 55. How should I kill this montser? THanks

If your talking about the quest with the demon, then I'd suggest using fire bolt or fire strike. I beat him easily with fire bolt.

 

 

 

If you are talking about the other tree gnome quest, then I used melee, and killed the lvl 113 or whatever he is quickly. I used a little bit of lobster to help, but it was rather easy.

You can easily mage it with some wind blasts. My friend did it with lower than 50 mage and only used a little under 50 wind blasts.

that is what I am going to try next, but I lost addy armor and over 2000 runes, not sure why I took all my inventory instead of just a few hundred, oh well, I will have to make more and train my runerafting.

are you using the safe spot? I have 42 mage, and i used about 150-200 runes total (i casted fire strike) and he went down in no time!
