well, tell me what you think of it

i know it's terrible, but this is my first time with photoshop :)

also i need something to put in that blank space, any ideas?

AHH TAKE OFF THE BEVEL!! take off the bevel on the box, and leve the empty space. simple sigs, in ymhumble opinion are the best. also, dont save it as a JPEG. try PNG.....got o File-Save for Web-Then in the dropdown at the top right corner-ish...seelect PNG-8.

Gif, pngs are a bit to large, and gif rarely loses quality unless you are using ALOT of colors.

JPEGS: Should be used for 3-D pictures and/or real life pictures.

GIFS: Should be used for things that involve pixellation, or in other words, even anime pics as long as it doesn't have too many colors.

PNGS: Should be used for EVERYTHING! They own! Though not all browsers support them.. They're filesize isn't that big...

BMPS: Not worth it. Extremely large filesize, plus certain browser users are forced to download them before viewing!

yeah PNG's are great! Never use them though bcuz i use blur animation in almost every sig i make :P

I'm confused... Background, Googled picture, and your name? I guess you should put more effort into it, that's nothing good at all.

I would smudge off the edges on the dude and soften the contrast in the dude himself. Otherwise it looks like a cardboard image =O!

Other than that get working on your text/text blending! (Maybe that's just me because I <3 pixel-looking text).

well i don't understand much about photoshop :(

it took me an hour to make this sig :S hopefully i will get better with practice

LOL, how the hell did that take a hour?

I can understand how it took an hour. It sounds like this sig was more of an experiment, so you were just messing with tools and stuff. But be honest, for you to physically do what you did, it probobly took two minutes. Just maybe try to put more effort into the next one.
