25leaf
cheapest way to go is buy a ton of body runes and earth. Grab a water staff. Wear any full malee set and head to a place where monsters can't attack you. Chasam mine, Varrock sewers across from zombies...
hatebringer
cheapest way to go is buy a ton of body runes and earth. Grab a water staff. Wear any full malee set and head to a place where monsters can't attack you. Chasam mine, Varrock sewers across from zombies... i say that is ok, but you could buy the waters from the shops (if you wern't already) and that comes out to alot less gepee spent. the earth staff is the same cost as the water one, and use curse on the zammy mage in the varrock castle behind the first set of stairs. once you get to 55, alching is the best if you have good money. 99 Fletching 99 Attack 99 Constitution 99 Cooking 99 StrengthGamertag: H8tebringer
Doomster
Try the tip.it map for the locations. For the talismans, there is no regular store, though batches of them occasionally crop up in Varrock. Otherwise, the most likely droppers are: Air: Goblins Mind: Imps Water: Wizards & dark wizards Earth: Men/Women Fire: (not sure, I've always used a staff for that) Body: Varrock city guards (maybe all city guards) Additionally, the Air/water/earth/fire Wizards west of Port Sarim drop matching runes or talisman. Doomster
The staffs vary slightly in melee combat stats, but the F2P stafds are generally categorized 3 ways. 1. Staff - the "slightly magical stick" - has a small stat boost, allows spell autocasting, is cheap, but has little else going for it. The "Skull Sceptre" has equivalent stats, no autocast, and limited teleport capability. 2. Magic staff - better stats, still cheap, and quite handy as part of a defence kit if you cannot wield ayour axe or pick when mining or woodcutting, since it has good defensive stats for a weapon. 3. Staff of (Air/Water/Earth/Fire) - most expensive, but saves a packet on runes, as a wielded staff acts as an unlimited supply of its matching rune. Other than minor melee stat variations, it is otherwise equivalent to the magic staff. The best choice of these depends on which runes you wish to avoid using - for fire spell casters, it tends to be a fire staff, though using an air staff and fire runes can make other players misjudge your power. The general uses are: Air: Wind casting, any combat spell casting, cconcealment of which spell you will be casting. Water: with earth/body runes - cursing Earth: with water/body - cursing, with air and mind/chaos/death - earth casting (uses 1 less air than fire spells) Fire: Fire casting, with nats - superheating or alching Usage of runes is the only reason to choose between them
