June 6, 200719 yr Recently, I tried to level up smithing and that's why I try to mine coal and iron for steel Iron is no problem - easy to obtain 8-) Coal is painful as they're hard to find :wall: Thus, I started using the Skeleton mine in Wildy (lvl10, south of black knight castle) which has 34 coal respawns - more than enough. However, the skeletons keep attacking me, distracting myself from mining and forcing me to bring extra food there. :shame: Do you know the level required for turning lvl22 skeletons silent (my combat = 43)? In non-wildy, that's lvl45, but does this level changes in wildy? Thanks in advance  Currently taking a break from Runescape
June 6, 200719 yr well im lvl 92 and the attack me i think the attack all (I wana live for ever,or die trying...)I have dyslexia so forgive me my bad grammar
June 6, 200719 yr They are agressive to all combat lvls.Just stay there for 20 minutes adn they stop attacking you.
June 6, 200719 yr Author thanks. then what should I bring there? Also, I got distracted by them so everytime i wanna mine, their attack stops the mining action and force me to use my shield to defend. What should I do? Should I kill that annoying skeleton and hoping that another won't attack once the attacker is dead? Currently taking a break from Runescape
June 6, 200719 yr Author haha, I wish I could do that My mining is 49 and that's still a long way to go. That noob character needs to triple its experience before the door to mining guild opens (through the Dwarven Scout works as well) Currently taking a break from Runescape
June 6, 200719 yr ... However, the skeletons keep attacking me,... Do you know the level required for turning lvl22 skeletons silent... IIRC, it's normally 1+2*YourLevel However, wilderness creatures are aggresive to all levels. So, in that case, you can stay in a small area and wait until they get bored in 10-20 minutes or so. Then they shouldn't attack you as long as you stay in that small area. If you walk to the bank or "far" away then the clock is reset and you start over. Finally, have you tried the coal spots listed here? The south-west Lumby swamp mine can use the Draynor bank. Hope this helps
June 6, 200719 yr ...That noob character needs to triple its experience... Power mining Iron is probably the fastest way to do that. It would take you, at most, 4462 iron ore to be able to use a DS to enter the guild. I used Iron (In Al-Kharid) to get to 85 Hope this helps
June 6, 200719 yr I don't think it does slow you down, even though you appear to pause to raise the shield. However, if your mining is quite slow, then they can do considerable HP damage. At that mine, I'd suggest using ALL of your best melee armour, with a defence ammy if you really don't want to fight them, or a power or strength if you do. Use a skeleton to block out potential pkers (especially mage) and run safe if you find anyone who can attack. Anti-mage tactic also favours being quite deep within the area, so the skeletons will harass them before they can get a shot at you. This may be an area where you can get away with using Kebabs. Tactics at the deeper hobgoblin mine vary, I like to go 3/4 item plus junk, and maybe use more dragonhide.
June 6, 200719 yr wildy monsters= always attack no matter what lvl even if its a lvl 18 and you are lvl 126 1100 total achieved 03/02/09 880thousandth to reach it :P1200 total achieved 29/09/11 1.23millionth to reach it :P
June 7, 200719 yr Author Thank you for all your great ideas. I'm now starting to stockpile iron (4300 iron will do), and i'll go to lvl60 mining . Then I'll be mining coal in that place thanks~ Currently taking a break from Runescape
