I have my first slayer task of elves and i'm not sure what quests i need to have done to reach them. Could anyone tell me? Also are they a good assignment (nice drops, easy to kill ,near to bank etc..)?

Once you have started mournings end pt 2 you can get to them in lletya which has a bank nearby. They are good for dropping clue scrolls,tiny elf crystals and green dhide armor. There is also a alter nearby if you want to use prayer and save food.

Elves are one of my least favorite slayer tasks. You need to use prayer if meleeing them and bad drops.

You need to start Mourning Ends 1 to access Lletya, just so you know.

mep1 to enter lyete for bank and alter, but you just need to start roving elves to reach them in the elve camp in the far north-west corner of the elven land

There's an altar upstairs near a ranging elf. Just use prayer and dispose of them how you please.
