June 15, 200719 yr Ok, so here are my 2 current strategies..... 1) Burthope it all I just cycle through my tasks until I get one I like, sometimes this will get me a bunch of good tasks. But other times it will leave me Burthoping alot of stuff. 2) Deal with it Just do whatever I'm assigned, unless it's ridiculous (Green dragons get about 50 million PKers that force me to either flee or not bring my best stuff, so I never do them). I really can't tell which is the best, so I was hoping someone with a bit of experience could tell me.
June 15, 200719 yr i would say option 2 is the best, and even thou you get tasks you sometimes dont like, you need to train on them, b/c burthroped tasks give low xp per kill except some burthrope ones, but, harder tasks also increase the rewards you could get, so option 2 definitely 99 Fletching 99 Attack 99 Constitution 99 Cooking 99 StrengthGamertag: H8tebringer
June 15, 200719 yr I usually do most tasks, just burthroping ones I can't do efficiently at my level. Quit RS, combat 104, total 1651
June 15, 200719 yr Do as many as you can with you combat levels. It's no use to try and sly 150 blue dragons with a lvl 70 character. As mentioned before, most Burthorpe assignments have low xp/kill, and lowsy drops. I for myself like the variance of slaying sifferent creatures every time, so I only skip monsters I really hate, like Turoth and kurasks. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...
June 15, 200719 yr Read Axe Man Jack's slayer guide mainly: try to find out which slayermaster gives assignments you like most. And if you don't like one burthrope it and get a new one fast (no point in waisting more time in a hard task than waisting less time burthroping it)
June 15, 200719 yr When I was training Slayer, I wanted fast XP, so I went ahead and did about 90% of Chaeldar's tasks. I did get the odd insane one like 150 Steel Dragons (!) and those I Burthorped... or when I got five consecutive Troll tasks I Burthorped those as well. But the Slayer Monsters I at least tried out, with the knowledge that if they started owning me badly I could always switch out. By and large, the level-appropriate Slayer Monsters drop the best loot and give the fastest xp. "I reject your reality, and substitute my own!"
June 15, 200719 yr What I have found that works best is to keep an open mind about each type of monster and try to find something positive about them. If you can do this, then you will actually be happy when you get that assignment instead of dreading it and automatically skipping it. It would be nice if we could all get our favorite monsters assigned everytime all the way to 99 Slayer, but that is not going to happen. It's entirely random and it's up to you to make the best of it. Dragon Drops - 10 Meds, 9 Legs, 5 Skirts, 2 Left HalfPM me to have any potions made or crafting done
