I bet the problem is something extremely simple we're all overlooking. I'm stumped though. I'll keep thinking about it and look around the web and let you know if I find anything.

Thanks alot. <3:

Oh my, it's growing on me>.>. I really think its something in desktop>properties>__________

=/

I think I've found it?!?!?!

Desktop --> Properties --> Appearance --> Advanced -->Caption Buttons, set it to 18.

I messed with all ( :wall: ) the settings on the advanced tab and that one seems to be the one which gave a similar effects to what you had.

Hope that's what it is.

I tried, and hey I learned something. but it didn't work.

Thats for windows and such, not for the task bar-.-.

Agree with JoeDaStudd, the answer is in there somewhere. I tried to replicate your problem and managed to do it.

Right click on your desktop, click properties, click appearance, clcik advanced, then click the item drop down box and choose active title bar, make sure the number next to it is the lowest it will let you go. If it already is the lowest it can go, make the number bigger, apply it, then reduce the number to its lowest possible again.

The lowest it would let me go when using tohoma was 18pt

Have a mess about with those settings and I think you will get it.

Good luck

oober, sorry but no-.-.

It did indeed make my icons smaller again, but the tool bar itself is still large. It did not make the task bar smaller. =(

ok, so the icons are the correct size now, it's just the actual size of the whole taskbar?

Don't know if you have tried this but just right click on the taskbar, untick lock the taskbar, then hover over the edge of it and you will get the double sided arrow icon, left click and drag down, this will reduce the size of the whole taskbar. When your done lock the taskbar again.

thats not changing the size of the task bar. When doing that, thats like adding a brick of task bar under it. Or when putting it down, taking one away.

The actual size never changes....
