Do the 2 extra str bonus and best defense in the game make up for losing the accuracy of a rune def?

Yes. And as an added bonus you get a special attack

does the new anti sheild have attk bonus or no, because the rune defender gives attk bonuse as well as some defence bonuse but the defense bonus is nowhere near the def bonus of the new anti sheild, so iono i will use both

I would say yes it is better, though against lower lvled monsters the extra accuracy may help more than the def because you won't be getting hit that much anyways.

When fully charged the dragonbreath shield is better than 3rd age shield

Its the best shield for strength and melee def, but it gives no attack bonuses.

Superway25, I don't think it really matters unless you either have 15m to throw around or can kill iron, steel or black draggies :

My 2nd crystal bow is 6/10 now and i started with 2 full ones. Im thinking of swithing to rune crossbow with zammy book and addy bolts after it breaks.

No quests needed, but it has a current street price of 25 mil. It takes 75 defense. OT: I say go for the shield. Amazing defense and strength bonus more then make up for the lack of attack bonus.
