Barrows Set up

I have done over 100 barrows runs using the mystic set up, using regular spells like wind wave and chaos gauntlet method. But because I've reached 55 slayer I'm now going to use the slayer dart method. I've come up with this set up so far.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Is there anything better than that I could add?

I did a few barrow runs, always used darts, had full rune and red d hide.

 

Prayed most or all of the brothers.

I would use maybe a rune defender for a shield. Or a prayer book (guthix or zammy is best)....

Ye, I was thinking of using zammy book. I've now replaced the rune boots with wizzy boots. My plan is this: Pray on Dh and Karil and possibly Ahrim, but Just go with defence for Torag, Guthan and Verac. I'm going to use karils x bow to with black dragonhide. I'd appreciate it if anyone could give me advice on who to pray on. Thanks.

Your plan for killing the brothers is what I do, pray on Dh, Karil, and Ahrim then no pray the rest. At 58 prayer I average 1-2 doses of ppots used, but it does depend on who I get in the tunnels.. Otherwise I use 1 or 2 doses of ppots. I usually use about 5 monk fish tops per run, I once did a run with no food eaten, but that was luck.

 

 

 

For your equipment, swap the obby cape for any god cape and use zammy or guthix book to boost ur mage attack bonus, also swap ur black gloves and get mystic gloves. Possibly get farseer helm?

 

My set up is torags pl8 and legs, fury, guthx book, mystic hat, mystic boots, barrows gloves, and sara cape and blk dhide body and chaps, msb, rune arrows to kill Ahrim.

 

 

 

NOTE: I am 58 prayer

 

My procedure :

 

I start off with Dh, kill him, end up with 35 prayer roughly

 

Then I go to Karil, pray, kill with range.

 

Then I go to Ahrim, which by then my prayer is gone so I use 1 dose of my ppot, then kill him.

 

Then I use my melee def agaisnt Verac, Guthan and Torag and not use prayer.

 

 

 

NOTE:This procedure uses 1 or 2 doses per run only if you get Torag, Guthan or Verac in the tunnel, otherwise you might have to use a full ppot or more. The ppot use also depends on how fast you can kill each person

Thanks for the advice timmis. I'm using black gloves because they give defense bonus plus the same mage bonus as mystic gloves.

I've only done 5 of the sub quests for recipe for disaster. I don't have the levels to do the rest.

I've now decided to go with this set up, as I didn't want to lose my guthans :oops:

Note: I will be making 3 trips out of this inventory, and I will be praying on all brothers. From before I know I will use around 2 prayer pots every trip.
