On my prayer pure (wootage!!!!) (prayer only 13 lol) i've been standing in various banks, saying "Can someone trim my armour please? It's light blue" I'm scammer fishing. I nailed just over 60 people yesterday, in about 2 hours. A lvl 92 adds me and says in priv.: You can't trim rune armor. I say I know im scammer fishing. ANd he sed he reported me for rule 9 :-s Can he do that? Around 3 other people did that to me too, and I'm wondering if I can get banned for it? He said I was "Encouraging others to trim my armor"? Anyone know?

Yes, you can. Because you effectively lure persons into trying to scam. You might even catch innocents that would've never tried but will think "Hey its a nice way of making a quick gp,I'll do that!"

I believe that may fall under encouraging other to break the rules, not positive though.

Personally, my philosophy is "If you're not sure, don't do it."

 

 

 

In this case, yeah, you could possibly get banned.

You might not get banned but you will likly earn a couple black marks

I would think this would fall vaguely under Encouraging Others to Break the Rules. This could also be considered Entrapment, in which someone encourages someone to break a rule and then busts them for it (such as a Police Officer encouraging someone to get severely drunk, then go drive a car).

 

 

 

Long story short, it would be in your best interest to probably stop doing that...
