When a player mod pm's you, does their crown show up?

 

I need to know because this person was claiming to be a player mod on private chat and I need to know if i need to report him or to trust him.

The crown will show up when that person sends a message to you.

Yeah, the crown will show up in a PM. So if he was claiming to be a moderator, then he was lying. :shame:
