July 3, 200718 yr I'm looking into getting a new MP3 player, after having my old one Seen Here break down on me. I think it's time for a new one. Although it wasn't all that great to start, I've expanded my music library alot since I got it, and it just doesn't hold nearly any songs at all. I've been looking into it, and found one that suits my needs really well. The Creative Zen Vision: M 60GB stands at the top of my list. A great amount of space, amazing video quality and more. Anywho, I'll save you my life story.. Has anyone else owned this Creative Zen? Would you recommend it? Are their any other MP3's better in terms of storage, video quality and music quality? Also, are their any models by Creative better then this one that are coming out anytime soon? A large group of my friends recommended the 80GB Ipod Video, but I'm not one just to go and jump on the bandwagon. So if your going to recommend it over the Creative, I hope you do a great job of listing reasons why I should get one. Because I've looked into it alot, and I wanted to get one, but now it doesn't seem all that great as I once believed. Thanks in advanced everyone, any and all help is appreciated! If you need to know any info helping me choose the right MP3 player, don't hesitate to ask. :D
July 3, 200718 yr I think ipods are past the bandwagon stage....I don't really think theres a much better MP3 player out there. That's just my opinion though.
July 3, 200718 yr The Zen Creative Vision: M is great, because it takes a lot of different movie formats, so you don't have to do a lot of conversion. It has a lot of good features, like being able to store data on it, viewing text documents, recording audio. It actually does more than the iPod, and weighs less. The battery live is good. It does take some getting used to, because the buttons are a little different from other MP3 players. I would say buy it over an iPod.
July 3, 200718 yr Zen >>>>>> iPod. Get it. I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.
July 4, 200718 yr You will not find a better player than a Zen. It has longer battery life, supports many more codecs, doesn't break in a gust of wind, better aesthetics (IMO) and just a better functionality, really. The only bad thing though - the bundled media software. It's pretty damn ugly - but thankfully, many kinder alternatives exist for it. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
July 4, 200718 yr I own both a Zen and an iPod. In my opinion, Zen's are better. Easy to use, durable, and sexy. It's also good that you don't have to download iTunes against your will just to put music on it.
July 4, 200718 yr Zune looks cool too. Everyone disses ipods, but they have the best GUI and controls by far. :-# If you want ease of use Ipods are the way to go. Visit my DeviantArt Page at http://vladmoney.deviantart.com
July 4, 200718 yr Author Thanks everyone for your input. Any other final thoughts are appreciated, as later this week I'll be taking a look at them instore and probably getting one then. Oh, and if no one posts and just likes to read things. If your in the same position i'm in Here is a great way to compare the Zune, Ipod and Creative Zen.
July 4, 200718 yr I've heard that the headphone minijack on these can malfunction easily. Just a heads up - other than that I havnt heard any bad and it looks great :)
