Need help with Monkey Madness =/

I require some assistance with the supplies needed for completing Monkey Madness.

 

 

 

I'm 95 combat and I'll be fighting the demon with range (I'm 78 range) and my prayer is 60. My agility is 57 so I regain energy steadily.

 

 

 

How much super energy potions, prayer potions and anti-poisons would I need to finish this quest?

 

 

 

To regain energy, should I use purple sweets, energy potions or super energy potions?

 

 

 

To combat poison should I use regular anti-poison, super anti poison or super strong anti poison?

 

 

 

How many sharks would I need for the whole quest?

 

 

 

 

 

Does the Jungle Demon operate and fight like the metal dragons i.e. if you're not in his reach he'll use magic, but if he is in your reach he'll use both melee/magic.

 

 

 

 

 

And if someone could tell me how long they took to finish this quest, that would be great.

I've numbered your questions.

 

 

 

1. maybe 1 prayer pot, 2 anti-poisons, 3 or 4 super energy restores

 

2. If you can make the pots, go ahead and use those. If you have the sweets or if you have strange fruit, it'll take around 20 of those.

 

3. Whatever you can get, I didn't poison the demon and it took less than 30 rune arrows

 

4. 5-8, maybe 10

 

5. Yes, which is why you should range with protect from mage on

 

6. 2 or 3 hours for me, using the quest guide when I was stuck. But then, my stats aren't great, so you should be able to do it (with the guide) in less than 2 hours.

 

 

 

Please note that all numbers provided are approximate and vary according to your stats (higher = smaller numbers), skill in playing the game(higher = smaller numbers), and whether you are using a guide or not (if yes, the lower numbers).

I used maybe 10-15 Prayer potions(4) at level 75 with 60 range(using steel arrows to kill the demon, and with roughly 50 prayer). I assume you can do it with 8-10.

I didn't use any, but ff you want to take them for the tunnel, I'd say take 3 super energy(4) should complete you much faster.

 

 

 

To combat poison should I use regular anti-poison, super anti poison or super strong anti poison?

 

Just take one normal anti poison(4).

 

 

 

How many sharks would I need for the whole quest?

 

I'd say 30-50 ish. Probably will have a lot left over.

Exactly like that, and he does NOT advance on you when I did the quest, so you needed no safespot and only needed protect from magic).

It took me maybe 3 hours to do it, but I often forgot stuff, and died twice(both times in the tunnel that wasted maybe 20 minutes each). I assume that if you know what you are doing, you can finish the quest in maybe an hour and a half.

Im not sure if this has changed, so dont flame me if Im incorrect:

 

 

 

The way I did it and the way all pures defeat the demon is very simple -- Magic shortbow and about 10 rune arrows.

 

 

 

What you do is get the demon to chase you and you run across a bridge so he wants to follow you but cant. While he's trying to chase you but is really stuck on a wall, all the little gnomes up there with you attack him, but only bring him to around 10 hits. Sit around for about two minutes and then run back across and special the crap out of it.

 

 

 

That's how I did it at least. Im not sure if anything has changed in the past year since I did it.

what i did at combat 85 is:

 

throw protect magic on. entangle, dds specs,entangel, safe spot and range.. i killed in under 2 mins without using any pots

I guzzled regular energy potions like a lunatic.

 

 

 

But I only used maybe 3-4 prayer potions for the quest. One for the boss, 2-3 for the insane tunnel parts.

 

 

 

You won't need many antipoisons, but always bring at least one full potion with you (except for the final fight). I ate around 10-15 sharks, probably. You don't need superantipotions, regular work fine.

 

 

 

This was with around 62-65 defence, and 45-ish prayer.

 

 

 

The final fight was easy. I only had 54ish ranged, just mage protected, and kept firing.

 

 

 

All potions were four dose, by the way.
