  1. why would his first dk trip, clue, then getting robin from clue be locked? Because of this: Best Clue Reward Ever? Post it here
  2. By the way, 'personalized' is spelt incorrectly for certain countries (such as Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand). As we all know, Jagex is an English company, and so uses the English Dictionary instead of the American-English dictionary, where they spell 'personalized' as 'personalised'. Other examples include American 'color' and English 'colour'. Just giving you a lesson in cultures. Oh and yes I get that message everytime too.
  3. Actually there are pics from several JMods saying it would be f2p. I can't imagine why you would unsubscribe because of this. F2P will probably be limited to 2-3 pets... from what it looks like members will have at least 20 (that I've seen), there might even be 100+ of them... I'd think that would give f2p an incentive to join members, so they can have pets besides the dogs or whatever else they get. (Sorry for enlarging your text - cbf unquoting the rest of your post :XD: ) There are also a few pics of RELIABLE mods (Paul for example) who say that Summoning will not be f2p. But we'll just wait and see. And there is absolutely no reason members will unsubscribe should summonining be a f2p skill. IF summoning is f2p, members will have extra benefits to the skill, just like how members have extra benefits for f2p skills - e.g. woodcutting: members can chop magic trees, whereas f2pers cannot, or crafting: where members can craft a wide variety of extra items f2pers cannot (dragonhides, glass, extra jewellry etc).
  4. I think Jagex only wanted Construction to be a 'money sink' skill (a skill where large amounts of money in the RS economy are loss, to keep prices stable and counter inflation), so I wouldn't think they'd want to update it anyway...
  5. Wow nice, I haven't got any dragon drops whatsoever from metal dragons and I've done about 20 or so iron drag tasks. Grats on drop. Did you use a Ring of Wealth?
  6. Is it's special attack (regenerates the same number of prayer points as the damage dealt with the special attack) useful in situations where you need to pray (like metal dragons, aberrant spectres, etc.)? What's your average hit usually with the mace? Would you prefer it over the deadly dragon dagger specials? Thanks in advance to those who answer. :)
  7. Well supercompost sells in the GE rather cheaply at approximately 500gp each, while pineapples (which can make supercompost) sell for ~200gp ea. The cost isn't the problem for me, it's just I don't like my bank full of supercompost and buckets... By the way, the bribe I was referring to is the Jade Vine bribe (10 wildblood hops).
  8. If I bribe a farmer with his/her bribe and they look after any patch, should I used super compost with the looked-after patch before planting my seeds/saplings into it? Or is using super compost completely nullified by the fact that a farmer is watching over my crop? I know that a farmer will never let your crop have disease, but I heard that super compost in a patch will make that patch grow faster? Is this true? My main questio: Should I use supercompost with a patch that a farmer is already watching? Ta
  9. thread hijacker@!@!@!@!@!@!@!.....sorry :uhh: well his question has been answered and it looks like all of u have experiance No they aren't. :( I'll ask my questions on a different forum then. :P
  10. So you don't reckon I should pay Horacio Wildbloods to watch over my vine?
  11. Bump, need more opinions on whether I should use wildblood hops to protect the plant...
  12. Should I do the quest to unlock the Jade Vine minigame if I want the slayer exp for killing the wild jade plant? Is it difficult/lengthy to kill the Vine (since I know you need an axe, and I can only use a rune one, since I don't want to spend 3m+ on a dragon one)? What prayer should I use to kill it (it uses melee and magic)? And finally ... Should I always pay Horacio the 10 wildblood hops to watch over my plant? Thanks!
  13. Yep. Bone cbows/bolts are now as slow as the rune crossbow/bolts. Previously, they were as fast as the crystal bow.
  14. If assigned by a slayer master, are they a good task for a meleer? I haven't done the Rum Deal quest needed to unlock these slayer creatures, but I am thinking about it. Opinions would be great. Thanks.
  15. 96 Magic is significant for the Lunar Spell 'Spellbook Swap', which allows the user to switch to either the normal or ancients spellbook to use for one spell (useful for slayer such as High Alching, tele-grabbing, etc). I might go back to runecrafting later, but for now I will be slaying a lot. 18 steel dragons now (from the NPC contact spell that I used to gain the level). BTW - The title was a slight reference to a certain group. And one thing is wrong in my picture (easy to find :-$ ). Thanks for looking. :)
  16. A sparsely distributed 100k unbalanced trade opportunity would be perfect, as I give my friends 99k as a present to buy their respective skill capes when they achieve the 99 level required for it.
  17. One more level to go (for SpellBook Swap for my slayer convenience) :).
  18. lol, I like the communist references littered throughout this thread. The banner rocks too. :P Nice observations!
  19. More and more players will use the abyss to runecraft high level runes such as natures and deaths, since there is a low risk of dying (no more RC pkers). This adds a greater demand for pure essence. Less bots and gold farmers will harvest pure essence, since it is basically impossible to transfer items from one bot account to the gold farmer selling account. This subtracts supply for pure essence. In short, pure essence will probably rise in price. Thank the Lord I bought 225k pure ess for 75 each four or so days ago. Yesterday night I sold 100k pure ess at 130 each. I'm quitting runecrafting to 91 for the meanwhile (ess at crazy prices, nats at low prices), so I'll be selling pure ess. I still have about 50k left. If you would like any, PM me ingame. :P
  20. ROFL. Laters RC PKing!! : Good update already haha :P EDIT: Ok, I read from the bottom update up. Now that I see these controversial updates, I'm seriously scared for the future of Runescape... So much changes .... my head's spinning :(
  21. Well, yes, bird's eggs might turn out to be a profitable choice in the coming year. Since I'm shunning summoning however, I have no need to collect these anyway as I'm sure they'll still be untradable. :) And maple log prices are generally around 40gp now tbh and still dropping :(. But I can defenitely see how certain types of players can still use MTK for their own profit.
  22. For a long time, the Manage Thy Kingdom minigame (assigning workers in your Miscellania Kingdom to gather primary resources) has been an easy source of money, possibly earning hundreds of thousand geepees per day for a minimal 2 minutes of work each day boosting your approval rating. However, with the recent downturn in prices of the commodities that MTK brings into the game (namely maple logs, coal, flax, herbs, fish etc.), is the kingdom even worth it anymore? Sure, a lucky kingdom manager may reap in a lot of money should they discover magic seeds or other high level tree seeds nestled in a bird's nest, but this can be a rarity at times and is unreliable. As the prices of maple logs and coal (the two most commonly assigned resources) plummets, so does the reliability of the Kingdom. Doing a quick browse of the Runescape Official Forums shows that maple logs are being put up for sale at 35-45 gp each (the majority are sold around this price). This is worrisome since the cost of maple log gathering for the Miscellania workers is 56.1 gp per log, at least 10 gp higher than what they are sold in the market today. Coal is also falling in price at 150gp each, flax at 55gp each, and all herbs dropping in price as well. With the current low prices of MTK resources, the profit of this minigame is low, and may even soon turn out to be a loss, should the falling price trend continue. Is your kingdom even worth it anymore? Please discuss the effectiveness and profit of Manage Thy Kingdom in today's prices. P.S. I already have withdrew all my money from the kingdom coffers, since I do not believe I would profit (especially the time wasted (when I could be Runecrafting and making more money) selling these products, since the GE hardly sells maples and coal quickly). Also, I know some people use MTK to aid their own skills, e.g. using coal for smithing, maples for firemaking and fletching, etc. Since I am solely concentrated on one skill at a time (now RCing, next slayer), I have no need for these resources to use later, and so I merely sell my resources for profit back into the Runescape economy.
  23. A few months ago, I had a green partyhat that I bought for 4m about 3 years ago. They were about 180m at that time when I decided to sell so I went to that spot in World 2 falador where you sell rares. Got paid 58m + 54k nats for my partyhat. This means I lost about 100m in terms of today's pricing, but gained 96m in terms of 3 years ago. So I'm kinda happy anyway. :)
