Well, I've settled on an HP laptop, but I'm debating between two seperate models, both dual-core, but one being intel and the other amd. Here are the specs for the two..

So, theres the two options. I'm quite confused about the processors on both of these models, I'm not sure which one is faster or would be better with multi-tasking or whatever. I used to know about all this kind of stuff, but these new processor types are very confusing... :wall:

Defently go with the Intel core 2 duo. It's faster than the AMD counter part.

 

 

 

The Intel model also has a better graphics card so you can play games. It also has Vista Ultimate and the AMD laptop has Premium (not a big difference).

Ah, ok, I was looking at the clock speed on both the AMD and the Intel, i knew there had to be some trick to it

I say go with the AMD one.....

I would go with the intel one, because it has is a better graphics card, and the intel dual core processors usually perform better.

Go with the Intel one. If you go with the AMD one you'll really regret it.

Yeah, if you can buy either one, definately go for the intel one. Like someone else said, the graphics card is much better and so is the processor.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Not to mention it comes with Vista Ultimate instead of Home Premium. Ultimate is the one with all the bells and whistles.
