I have acquired the first piece of the map in Melzar's maze, and am currently working on the second piece. This site tells me to get silk, a lobster pot, a Wizard Mind Bomb, and an unfired bowl, and then talk to the Oracle on Ice Mountain. I have all 4 items, and talked to the Oracle many times, and I am still unable to open the door in the Dwarven Mines. Can someone help?

You need to check your items CAREFULLY. People mess up and get a regular bowl or another item wrong.

When I click on the door, it says "You can't find any way to open the door."

 

When I use one of the four items on the door, it says, "I have no idea what I should put in the opening of that door. Maybe I should leave it alone for now."

update: when i go to talk to the oracle, its just normal. i dont get an option to ask the oracle about the door in the mines.

7) Speak to the Oracle, south of the Black Knights Fortress on Ice Mountain (Picture). The Oracle will tell you that you need four items.

 

 

 

1. A drink used by a mage - wizard mind bomb (Falador Pub).

 

2. Worm string changed to sheet - silk (Silk Trader in Al-Kharid, or Ardougne Silk Stall).

 

3. A small crustacean cage - lobster pot (Port Sarim, talk to Gerrant).

 

4. A bowl that has not seen heat - unfired bowl (clay + water = soft clay. Use soft clay on a pottery wheel to make bowl)

 

 

 

Strategy: Gather the required items before talking to the oracle to save time.

 

 

 

8) When you have all these items go down into the Dwarven Mine (Entrance south of Oracle).

 

 

 

9) Head south and then east, and you will come to a room with a chest in it (Picture - Picture). If you have all four items you can enter. Search the chest to get the map piece.

thats the thing: when i talk to the oracle, she doesnt tell me anything about items or anything. she gives me her normal random advice.

What does your quest journal say?

Use the items with the doot...but dont drink the mind bomb...so... now answerded?

Make sure you have finished all other steps, before going to the Oracle,

 

maybe you haven't done all.

Try Oziach again, if you skipped the piece of dialogue where you were told about it, that may be the problem - quest characters and holiday event guides are pretty anal about being listened to.

you need to go back to the guild master in the champions guild and make sure you ask him all the question options about the quest

 

 

 

without doing so some parts of it aren't accessible and wont work
