purpieman2
one of my friends that i know in real life asked me to train his def for him. Is it considered account sharing and we can both be banned? i told him that already, and he said we wont be banned. (he offered to pay be 200k, but i still dont want to do it because i have to train my account).

tripsis
Yes it is. Each account may only be used by one person - the owner/creator. You may not sell, trade, or give away accounts. Furthermore, you may not let someone use your account, or give them gp in exchange. Accepting an account that someone offers you (whether temporarily or permanently) is in violation of that rule. In short, it would be against the rules for you to access his account for any reason, and you would risk both of you getting banned. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
NeXiLe
You won't get banned. Many people let their friends use their accounts. Unless you go talking about it in runescape or are for some reason reported for it, they're not going to check the IP's. P.S - This is just my opinion, I know many people and even I at one point have been on a friends account to borrow a mill or something when he couldn't come on at the time. I've never heard of anyone (who doesn't make it blatantly obvious that they're sharing accounts) getting banned for it. It IS against the rules but from personal experience and knowledge, if you don't tell people it's happening, you're not going to get caught. Also, don't have you play 10 hours, then him, then you.. then you WILL get caught.
Taoyection
Dont share with other accounts, they will mostlikley mess your acc upp or take stuff from it. well if you share a account with your parents would that be againts the rules? some even recommend you to play with your parents! so its hard for Jagex to know if your sharing a account :? Randox
I say tell your friend to get off his lazzy [wagon] and do it himself. Even if the chance is nill of being caught, it's still against the rules. We should obey the rules, even the ones they can't effectivly enforce because rules are rules. If you do go ahead, I say rob the lazy [wagon], make your own pay ceack
Celestrana
Don't share accounts even if it isn't your account that's being shared. If your friend's account somehow gets banned/hacked/etc, he'll blame you, even though you may not have anything to do with it and ruin your friendship. Plus, your friend is just asking for trouble. And why should you waste your time training his character when you can train yours? If you think about it, he's just taking advantage of your friendship. Moonshadow
I would not risk it. It is better to be safe than sorry. If your friend is really your friend, he can respect your decision and still maintain the friendship without holding a grudge.
