July 14, 200718 yr Every time I try to log in a message appears saying: "Warning- security The publisher cannot be verified by a trusted source. Code will be treated as unsigned. __________________________________________ Name: Loginapplet Java.security.cert.certificateException: your security configuration will not allow granting permission to new certificates." It always appears, how do I fix my security settings so I can allow it? Edit: A jagex moderator sent me this message on how to allow it but it won't work: "Thank you for contacting me here at Jagex. Here is a 14 step 'walkthrough' of how to enable the popup that will allow the RuneScape Java Applet to load. Please read through this carefully and follow it step-by-step. 1. Load up an Internet Explorer window, click 'Tools > Internet Options > Content > Certificates'. 2. Click on 'Trusted Root Certification Authorities'. 3. Find Thawte Server CA in the list, highlight it, and then click 'remove'. 4. Click 'Yes', and 'Yes' again when asked if you want to delete the Root Certificate Store. 5. Close Down all your windows and reload an Internet Explorer Window. 6. Go to http://www.runescape.com and try to load the game. 7. When the Security Popup warning appears DO NOT select 'Yes' or 'No'. 8. Click on 'Jagex Ltd' and then 'Install Certificate'. 9. Complete the wizard ('Next > Next > Finish') then click 'OK'. 10. This brings you back to the last box, click on 'Certification Path'. 11. Select 'Thawte Server CA' and then 'View Certificate'. 12. Select 'Install certificate' and complete the wizard (Next > Next > Finish). 13. Choose 'Yes' to install the Root Certificate Store, then click 'Ok'. 14. Click 'Ok' and 'Ok' again to get back to the very first Security Warning Popup and select 'Yes'. This should allow you to play RuneScape. Next time you try to load the game, the original Security Warning Popup will appear. You MUST TICK the 'Always trust content from Jagex Ltd' box, and then click 'Yes'. If you continue to have difficulties, please contact the Customer Support Team again who will be able to assist you further. I hope that this helps. Yours Sincerely Mod Wharton " I can't do step 3 and 4. July 14, 200718 yr most likely would go in the tech support forums, but i think you just need to find the thing they are talking about. find it on the list, and right click>remove it, or just highlight it, and then remove it. If not, you may have something that doesn't work, like using firefox may have a different method, but im not sure what that is. 99 Fletching 99 Attack 99 Constitution 99 Cooking 99 StrengthGamertag: H8tebringer

July 16, 200718 yr You proabably clicked block when your webpage was trying to allow or deny JaGex's certificate, but I don't know how to fix it; Internet Explorer usually crashes my computer lol. Retired from runescape. I will be on every now and then though. :)
