SaviorGod135
Currently i have 50 crafting- and like alot of other people I would like to be able to make Dragon Hide Armor. I want to train my runecraft up- so I figure what better way to do it than high alching Dragon Hides? I will train up both my RC and my Craft, which are both pretty hard skills to get up. However i have run into a problem- getting from 50 Craft to 63 seems impossible considering what i have been though thus far. I figured the best way to get crafting exp was to craft gold items with gems. So i did Between a Rock... so I will have a great place to mine gold at. Then i read about shilo village- and though wow minning gems! what a great idea. So i did all the quests leading upto and then did shilo viallage, only to realize the rate that you get the gems there is terrible, unless you are working on fletching. So i read around some more and found out that the Rouges Den has a safe that you can seal gems from- and for the last week i have worked thief up to 50 from 38. Got to the Rouges den, and the gems come pretty fast. While picking the lock on the safe I used Tip It for a quick calc of how many gems i will be needing, and assuming its mostly saphires and emeralds i need alittle over 3k! At the rate that the gems come from there it will take ages. Side Information: Im not someone who likes to go buy all my supplies- ie gems- for two reasons: 1. Im poor and just plain cant afford to do that. 2. I would much rather work for the supplies myself. So keeping that in mind cna anyone give me any ideas as what to do? Maybe something different than Jewlery? Maybe a better spot to get gems from?
mchainmail
buy cowhides 100 ea on a f2p world, tan them, make coifs, sell to karamja trading ships. You don't lose that much, maybe 1.5 gp per exp.
countzeroh
Don't discount Spinning flax into bowstrings. whislt not the quickest crafting Xp, it is cheap, can make money, and is relatively easy. If you've done throne of miscellania, you can use "managing thy kingdom" to get the flax. what i did. Calculated how many bowstrings i'd need for 99 fletching (was about 55k at the time). Left MTK on flax until I had enough flax. Would try and spin 2 or 3k of flax every now and again I wasn't in a rush, took my time, and got a lot of bowstrings (25k still to fletch), and got that crafting XP. Also glass is quite good. Mix it up between glass and Bowstrings and it won't take you long at all to get to 63!!! Best of luck Count
Weird_Piggy
Buy raw materials and make them into rings. Sapps at 700 ea, uncuts at 800 ea. Gold bars at 150 ea. Cosmics 100 ea. Sell for 1.5k - 1.8k. 500 ea ring, and good xp as well. Also works with emrald rings and ruby rings. Currently: Skilling
Bashful
spin flax till you can make green dhide bodies. (no use crafting the rest as you lose much more gp) then craft as many nats as the green dhide bodies you're making.
Trobigod
I got 54 - 71 crafting in F2P making tiaras, I made 12k tiaras and it took me a month to get that silver, it works if you don't mind mining tons of silver but there's no real market for tiaras as far as I know of and that's a con in this tactic. mchainmail
with karamja gloves 1, there's a market for everything. Tiaras can probably be sold at the charter ships for 50-70 gp ea (I haven't tried it yet, i'm just guessing)
