Ichimaru
On certain forums, it is possible to use any picture as avatar, because the system automatically resizes the size of the picture to the correct size. Example: (10 Ko and 85x85 pixels maximum, if not automatic realignment) It's a great liberty, because it means no need in worrying about the size of your avatar picture anymore. Cruiser
Why should Tip.It waste CPU power and bandwidth because someone is too lazy to resize their image first? The CPU cycles and bandwidth wasted in loading and resizing huge images can be put to use in much better ways.

I strongly agree with Cruiser here, I'd much rather see bandwidth used on other features, that are needed, or would enhance the usage of the forums for all members, not just one. Ginger_Warrior
Maybe I'll seem a bit harsh here, buy why should we provide that service? There's hundreds of JPEG resizers and free image manipulation software out there. All else failing, there's MSPaint. There really is no excuse for oversized avatars. Therefore, I don't see why we should provide a service for people who, frankly, can't be bothered. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
