July 22, 200719 yr Yes buying soda ash from charter is the fastest. You may also choose to make vials if you are more of a herblorist. There is a lunar spell that gives 1.5 times glass from 1 soda ash and sand, don't need a furnace too. Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.
July 22, 200719 yr The xp is low but money making is the way to go. Just plain vials sell for about 100 ea. Water filled vials or WF vials or WFV sell for about 250ea. Unpowered orbs sell for about 1k ea. I get my sand, seaweed and soda ash from the Charter boat guys. I aslo get buckets of sand from the guy in the Sand in the Hand quest. And occasionally fill buckets with sand in the pit next to that guys house. Then I use the Superglassmake Lunar spell to make molten glass. Geaux Tigers ! Congrats on a great year !
July 22, 200719 yr I don't know exactly how many buckets of sand you have, but you might consider making glass orbs and then making them into battlestaves to alch. Battlestaves alch for 9300 each, and the staves cost 7000 each at the staff stores in Varrock an in the magic guild. You can make a significant profit from this, the only real annoying part is getting the staves, since the mage guild and Varrock stave shops only sell 5 at a time, and they respawn very slowly. But making the staves give very good crafting XP. Check out this cool browser gladiator game!
July 22, 200719 yr You can get free 90+ sand buckets delivered right into your bank daily after you complete Hand in the Sand quest. Soda ash and seaweed is best obtained in the Charter Trader shop. And yes, lunar spell is very nice. Runescape Reader's Digest
July 22, 200719 yr there are spawns of seaweed in karjama. just use the seaweed with a furnace and you get soda ash. its free that way Not all F2Pers are beggars or scammers, some are respected members, but these respected people are over-populated by these beggar and scammers.
