Dameien666
ok, the other day, my teacher tells me they would like me to create an animation for some competition (if any of you have heard of FIRST robotics, thats what its for.) and I know nothing about 3ds max. i've been going over some tutorials, but one thing i cant seem to find anything about is the materials. I would like to use a jpg image as my material, but i cant find a load button anywhere in the material editor. If anyone is familiar with 3ds max, could you please help me? thanks... Ryan
Have you tried just putting it in your material library? Not quite sure if it would work but I don't see why not? Just actually put it in the folder when exploring where the materials usually are. I must say, good luck doing an animation if you're having troubles with materials :? Iw
Open material editor (Rendering -> Material Editor or shortcut M), select an empty material, click the gray box next to diffuse color, select Bitmap, browse for the desired image, select the object you want to apply the material to and click Assign Material to Selection-button. You may also want to apply an UVW-map modifier from the Modifier list.
